DAISY NOTT-
SATURDAY
The sun is beaming down on my face as I pull my flowy, white dress over my legs, perching on a deep window sill, a large stained glass window looming behind. A cool, spring breeze drifts through the corridor as I pull a soft cream sweater on.
The classes here are different but engaging. Somehow I'm behind in defence against the dark arts class - other than that all is going well. I pulled my legs closer to me as I began to read for herbology.
Our father taught me and Theo everything there was to know about herbs and plants, I smell thyme and I think of him, in every star I see him and every fresh bread roll I imagine him stood in the kitchen perfecting his recipe time and time again. I wonder if Theo feels the same, God he must feel worse he always was closer with him than our mother. She got worse with him when father died. I can't look at her the same when I think about last summer, he doesn't come home at school breaks anymore; with him and father gone I don't know how I'm ever going to face going back there again. It's like a vacant lot. Nothing there has meaning now.
My mind travelled into its own daydream, until I heard the fast paced walk echoing down the corridor. A platinum head of hair appeared from around the corner abruptly, a furrowed brow and etched lines began to form across his face, his alluring silver eyes full of doubt.
Until he saw me and his gaze softened snapping me out of the daydream I flourished in.
"If it isn't Pretty Nott." He paused arrogantly, leaning against the wall across from me. His hair falling perfectly across his forehead radiating, glowing even from the sun. His eyes travelled from my long flowery dress to my freckled face as he scanned me.
"Me?" I questioned as I looked up to meet his troubled eyes.
"Yes Pretty Nott." He smirked.
"I have a name you know." I started.
"Oh but it's just so fun calling you that" He replied.
"I thought you didn't like hufflepuffs?" I laughed jokingly. Draco's newfound kindness confusing me.
"True but.. you're not like the rest of them."
I felt a blush begin to creep over me, and I opened my mouth to reply when Theo appeared with Blaise.
"Well obviously mate-" Blaise laughed. Until both their eyes settled on me and Draco.
Theo glanced between me and Draco, his face curious.
"Is he being a dick Dais?" He exclaimed walking up to him, "I told you Drac-"
"No, no he's er helping me with Potions." I lied. Draco glanced at me, an eyebrow raised with a smirk.
Theo smiled, "Huh? Draco being nice? Don't go soft on us now mate!" He chuckled as he began to tackle Draco into a playful hug. Theo is just a big softie deep down even with his hard exterior.
I giggled and looked across to Blaise and found him already staring, he smiled and sauntered over to me.
"Coming to Hogsmeade Dais?" He questioned taking the book from between my knees and placing it on the window sill.
"I've never been but I've heard alot about their butterbeers." I smiled jumping down from the windowsill, Draco and Theo were now full on wrestling on the floor. I turned around packing the books into my bag
"For merlin's sake get up!" Blaise turned to them kicking Draco in the back hard.
The boys rose from the ground groaning in pain. Theos hair disheveled and Dracos seemingly fine.
"Okay so your coming yeah?" Theo asked turning to me,
"Mmhm" I replied wrapping the yellow and black scarf around my neck and adjusting it as Draco and Blaise began to walk.
