DAISY NOTT-

Laughter and loud talking travelled through the corridors as I trudged along now armed with 3 heavy books and a timetable that made no sense.
Theo was right about Mcgonnagle.

Large oak doors to the great hall glistened in the sunlight peeking above the array of clouded shapes in the pale sky. I contined walking through the doors.

4 long tables filled with endless plates of food crowded the large hall, the benches all taken with people from each house talking away with their set groups. Many faces turned to look as I strided towards what appeared to be the slytherin table, with newfound confidence I turned to smile at those who stared with insatiable curiosity.

I spotted my brother sat at the end of a table surrounded with people who I'd never seen before. Except one.

As I got closer, my heart beat faster in the cage of my chest.

"Who is that"

My brother's head jerked round as my feet shuffled closer to the bench.

"Ah, Dais your here." Worry apparant on his face for what was about to happen next.

"Dais?" A blonde mocked, "This your little pet?" He chuckled, his eyes flowing with curiosity

"What the fuck? Mate thats my sister." Theo spat, kicking his leg up under the table straight at his shins. The blonde shot him daggers, held his stare on to my face and then glanced back to Theo rolling his eyes, picking up his fork and picking at his plate again.

"Anyways," Theo sighed frustrated, " This is my twin and she's gonna sit with us for a bit cause it's her first day. And if any of you dickheads have a problem with it, bring it up with me." He began to laugh sarcastically gesturing me to sit as 4 pairs of eyes burned into me.

My books clattered as I placed them down onto the bench next to another boy who couldnt stop staring.

"Just have what you want, its unlimited." Said a brunnette passing me a plate, he smiled a meaningful smile and continued eating.

Theo leaned towards me, "Thats Blaise, of course he's going to be a gentleman to you but he's a right knob when he wants to be-"  He whispered as I smirked, "and that's Crabbe, whatever bollocks he says just ignore him. Thats Doyle, again ignore anything he says hes as thick as anything- but funny."
My grin grew as I looked up to find Doyle staring in shock at me, Theo looked to me and chuckled, scraping his fork into his pile of food.

My eyes searched the table until they met a pair of piercing grey irises, they almost were iridescent in the morning haze. However their glory was dimmed by how sunken and sad they appeared. Must be alot of hurt in there.

A hint of curiosity flashed in his eyes; he quickly blinked in disgust looking down at his food.

"And who is that?" I leaned towards Theo as I whispered quietly.

"Draco. My best mate, loyal and stubborn but full of hatred. He can't help it though-"

"Goodmorning students." Bellowed a deep voice interrupting Theo surrounding the room with a sudden warmth. I made a mental note to continue the conversation later.
Everyone turned to face him standing at the front of the hall. His grey beard trailing elegantly along his face, small spectacles sat on the bridge of his wrinkly nose. A large smile adorned his face.
"I hope all is well, I have no updates for today other than simply to continue your day as normal, the intruder has not yet been caught but has left the premises."
Many sighed and a fearful look painted their faces.
"What was that about?" I questioned.

"Just some wizard who broke out of Azkaban and was hanging round here, looks like he pussied out of doing whatever he was planning."Blaise laughed.

Theo began to pass me some watermelon and a bread roll.

"Since when are we accepting girls in the group?" Whined a girl sitting down next to Crabbe as she stared straight at me. Black long hair framed her pale face, her muddied eyes painted delicately with a maroon eyeliner.

"Since I said so Parkinson and for merlin's sake you are not our mate." Theo huffed as the rest of the boys nodded in agreement.

Her face froze for a second, until it was replaced with an angry scowl as she looked towards Draco for help. He began to laugh mockingly. I gazed up towards Theo with a disappointed frown. He looked down at me and shrugged mouthing sorry. I mean the girl seemed rude but no one deserves that, she seemed to believe they were her friends and I know better than anyone how that feels.

I started eating some of the watermelon slowly as Blaise started a conversation.
"Wait so what house are you in Daisy?"

"I think I was sorted into Hufflepuff? It's the yellow house right-"

Draco coughed loudly spluttering, "We aren't having a hufflepuff here. You wouldn't survive a day" He remarked.

I looked upwards to him searching his eyes expecting cruelness. Except I saw a sort of childlike humour. Theo glared at him.

"I'm obviously joking T." Draco laughed.
