DAISY NOTT
The icy wind swept around my face, reddening my cheeks as I shivered wrapping the yellow and black striped scarf tighter around myself.
"It's bloody freezing" I exclaimed to the brown haired boy sitting next too me. His eyes were a dark green speckled with a deep blue, a sharp jaw met his chiseled face with thick black eyebrows and freckles dotted around his nose.
He looked up from admiring his wand and met my eyes,
"Your so dramatic" he joked rolling his eyes.
Theo was my twin brother, a fourth year slytherin who was quite literally the opposite of me.
"You can sit with me and my mates if you want Dais? Unless you wanna try making friends with some people in your house."
His friends were popular, well known but not for the best reasons. Still anyone was a better option that no one.. right?
Theo has been studying at hogwarts since first year however I struggled with my illness and due to that couldn't join until now. My mother warned me how hard it would be to join when everyone has already made tight knit groups but I'm determined to at least give it a go.
"Are you sure you wouldn't mind? I'll only sit with you for a few days I promise just until I settle in with everyone." I turned to face him.
He sighed, "You know I don't mind, I'm just slightly worried about how my friends will react.. to well- er you? They aren't used to newbies"
A sharp gust blew circling around the bench lifting the grass and the snowy flowers releasing an ivory powder dissapating into the breeze. My brow furrowed as my teeth instinctively fought to find my lip to chew, worries swirled in my mind.
"Hey.. hey" He reached round my thick coat embracing me tightly, "It's going to be fine you will settle in fine your annoyingly positive attitude is actually quite likeable"
"Hey!" I laughed
The bell echoed singing a melodic brassy ring, we stood up as Theo collected his broom and books.
"That's the bell for breakfast, how about you pick up your timetable from McGonnagle and meet me in the hall?" He smiled and began to laugh, "If you even make it out of there..."
My eyes shot up to him as I giggled, "Is she really that bad?"
"My god just you wait."
