DAISY NOTT-

It had been two weeks, the girls in the dorm are dismissive and cliquey.

I've been sat with the Slytherins and it's not so bad, Blaise is lovely and Crabbe and Doyle are so stupid its hilarious. Even Draco seemed to be warming up to me, though that's probably cause Theo talked to him.

I had developed a sort of daily routine after lessons. I walked around the fields by the black lake, gathered some flowers from the meadow- it's the perfect season for it, I walked through the corridors and to the astronomy tower at night before curfew to see the stars and the moon, and stopped at the library to pick a muggle book to read for the night. I slowly am getting used to being here and actually am enjoying it.

I walked toward the meadow, a flaxen haired girl sitting under a large oak tree by the lake was sat, a large acorn threaded through a thin piece of string loosely wrapped around her neck. Upon her head sat pink goggles with many earrings dangling loosely from her ears. She saw me look towards her in curiosity and smiled lopsidedly her eyes glazed over in a dream world.

I walked towards her across the dewy spring grass and outstretched my hand.

"Hi! I love your glasses they're so cool." I smiled.

She reached and shook my hand lightly, her silver bangles ringing like a wind-chime as she moved.

"Why thank you, I made them myself." The soft spoken girl replied dreamily. "I'm Luna Lovegood, I haven't seen you around before?" She seemed puzzled although relaxed.

"Daisy Nott, I started two weeks ago, I'm a 4th year though." I replied while sitting down in the long grass across from her twirling the yellow flowers in my hands.

"Ah, you must be Theo's brother? You have the same hair"she said dazy.

"Yes he's my twin, are you in my year?"

"Why yes I am." She said leaning back into the grass her hair gently flowing in the cool breeze. The sun peakes through and shone reflecting off her collection of jewellery adorning her wrist and neck.

"I don't suppose you would mind if I studied here?" There was something so calming and peaceful about the girl's aura, perhaps studying here would be a breeze.

"Mmhm." She sighed contently, "Of course, why it's lovely to have company." Her eyes fluttered.

A smile crept onto my face as I began reading my muggle studies essay.

I had made a friend.

An hour went by and the strange girl finally rose from her resting spot. She gathered her acorns and flowers smiling kindly before she sighed wistfully.
"Goodbye Daisy, find me again soon."
She began to walk away leaving a trail of flowers with each step.
