we only said goodbye with words. i died a hundred times;
Jungkook's heart is pounding all the way to the Headmaster Hughes' office.
He can feel the sweat slicking the back of his neck as he prepares for the worst. Headmaster must have found out about the tardies, or the sex. Either way, Jungkook is screwed. He knows it.
Mrs. Porter greets him when he gets into the main building and she waves him back to enter the Headmaster's office. Jungkook's stomach is churning and he feels like he is about to vomit as he knocks on the door.
"Come in," he calls out, and Jungkook sends a silent prayer out to the universe, not wanting or needing any more bullshit on his plate right now.
Pushing his way past the heavy door, Jungkook walks in with a smile, "You wanted to see me, sir?" he questions, eyes taking notice of a boy he didn't recognize sitting down by the large desk.
"I did, come in please, Jungkook. I want you to meet Jimin."
Jimin.
Jungkook looks him over, taking in his checkered shirt, skinny jeans, and Vans; if his style is anything to go by, they will definitely get along well. "Hey. Nice to meet you."
"Same." He gives Jungkook a shy smile.
"Jimin will be your new roommate. I figured it'd be easiest just to have you come get him, then you can give him a tour—show him around."
Jungkook almost sighed in relief, thankful that he is not in trouble. Then he realizes what the headmaster just said and can't help but smile. He has always wanted a roommate, and this guy looks like he'd be decent.
"Not a problem. I got him."
Headmaster Hughes hands Jimin his food card, keys, and a packet of stuff he'll need before they leave the office. Jungkook is really eager to show him around. As they go through the office and into the hall he starts telling Jimin little tidbits of information, but he is probably coming across as too overanimated and excited. Jungkook should probably tone it down a bit.
About five minutes in, Jungkook can tell Jimin is not really getting all the information he is throwing at him, and then he reminds himself to calm the hell down. It's too much stuff to handle all at once. He also once had a hard enough time remembering half this shit.
"I don't want to waste your time, but I honestly am too tired. I really don't even think any of this information will stick. Rain check?" Jimin's eyes are pleading and Jungkook notes the dark smudges under them.
"I figured. You seem a bit overwhelmed and you have this tired look about you." As soon as the words are out, Jungkook realized how dickish that sounded and mentally scolds myself. "No offense."
