𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐑𝐘, 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘 will be different. It has to be. I will smile and actually mean it. I feel much better. I will no longer be the sad little girl that lost her parents, not that anyone thought of me that way. That was Elena's title. No one really considered my feelings as I am the twin that never gives a shit. But I was in the accident too.
I walked into the kitchen to see my twin and my Aunt already there, "Toast. I can make toast." Jenna called out as she looked in the fridge.
"It's all about the coffee, Aunt Jenna," Elena replied as she poured herself a cup. I smirked, snatching the mug out of her grasp and taking a sip, "Lia," She yelled scoldingly.
I sent her an innocent smile as my younger brother entered the room, "Is there coffee?"
The older woman sighed heavily, "It's your first day of school and I'm totally unprepared." She panicked, "Lunch money?" She questioned, holding a few dollar bills in her hands.
"I'm okay," My sister shook her head as Jeremy and I took it from her grasp, sticking it in my bra, not that I'd use it for lunch anyway.
"Anything else?" She asked, "A number 2 pencil? What am I missing?"
My younger twin frowned, "Don't you have a big presentation today?"
"I'm meeting with my thesis advisor at," She paused as she looked at the watch on her wrist, "Now. Crap."
I chuckled, "Go. We're fine."
She nodded, "Please be good at school, Emelia." She smiled before leaving the house. I sipped on my coffee as my twin turned to me and my brother, "You okay?"
He rolled his eyes, "Don't start,"
I watched him leave the room and my sister continued to stare at me, "I'm fine, Lena. Let's go."
He sent me a smile as she followed me out the house and into our friend, Bonnie's, car outside.
I climbed into the backseat and the dark-skinned girl immediately smiled in my direction, "Oh, my god. Guys, my grams is telling me I'm psychic."
I scoffed in disbelief, "What?"
"Yeah," She nodded, "Our ancestors were from Salem, witches and all that. I know, crazy, but she's going on and on about it and I'm like put this woman in a home already." She chuckled. I laughed along with her as she continued, "But I started thinking, I predicted Obama, and I predicted Heath Ledger. And I still think Florida will break off and turn into little resort islands. Elena." She suddenly yelled. My sister jumped at her voice, "Back in the car."
She sighed heavily, "I did it again, didn't I? I'm sorry, Bonnie. You were saying that." She trailed off.
