𝐈 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐓 on the couch beside Elena and Jenna who were having boy troubles. I couldn't help but chuckle at how miserable they looked. "You're wallowing," I chuckled.

The older woman rolled her eyes, "My wallow is legitimate. I was dumped."

"Yeah, well, Logan's a jerk," I shrugged.

"You didn't get a brush-off email saying, I'm leaving town, see you." She grumbled.

"Wanna keep it down over there?" Jeremy called out from the kitchen counter.

Jenna frowned, "Why? what are you doing?"

"Homework," He shrugged.

I shared a shocked look with my twin before turning to my brother, "Since when do you do homework?" The younger girl scoffed.

"I've gotta finish this. I'm way behind and I have a quiz tomorrow," He explained, not taking his eyes off the paper.

"What do you think? Alien?" Elena joked.

Jenna chuckled, "Some sort of replicant."

The boy rolled his eyes, "He can hear you."

I scoffed in disbelief, sharing a look with my twin. What the hell has Damon done to my brother?

𝐈 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐂𝐔𝐃𝐃𝐋𝐄𝐃 up to my sister in her bed when Bonnie entered the room. She knocked lightly and opened the door ajar, "You up?"

"No," She grumbled, snuggling closer to me.

The Bennett girl chuckled, moving to sit at the end of the bed, "Why haven't you called me back?"

My twin only shrugged, "I'm sorry,"

"Are you gonna stay in there forever?" She spoke, already knowing the answer.

"Yes," Elena replied dryly, hiding her face in my neck.

A serious expression overtook her features, "I'm officially worried. What's going on?"

I bit my lip, "They broke up,"

"Oh," She turned to the girl beside me, "I'm so sorry."

She breathed out heavily, moving so she could look at Bonnie, "I'm tired of thinking, of talking."

I hugged her tighter as the dark-skinned girl continued, "I know I've been kind of MIA when you need me the most. I suck."

"You wanna make it up to me?" She asked rhetorically, "Take my mind off it."

A smile overtook the girl's lips, "Just remember you asked for it."

She jumped up from her space on the bed to close the window and let the feathers from a pillow run loose.

I frowned, "What are you doing?"

"Be patient," She smiled, "I need to swear you to secrecy."

Elena sent her an unsure expression, "It's kind of a bad week for that stuff."
