𝐈 𝐖𝐎𝐊𝐄 𝐔𝐏 to a loud, banging noise coming from downstairs. I shot up, frightened and made my way to the top of the stairs, "Elena? Jeremy?" I called out but got no reply, "Jenna?"

Still no reply. A shadow suddenly flew along the hallway, causing me to jump back.

I quietly tip goes down the stairs and into the living room. I attempted to turn on the light but the power seemed to be out.

I frowned when I noticed the TV randomly turn on, "This is Logan Fell coming to you live from Mystic Falls with breaking news of another deadly animal attack. The wild animal terrorising citizens has claimed another victim. A local high school student, Emelia Gilbert." The news guy spoke.

I gasped when a picture of me flashed up on the screen. My heart began to race and my palms became sweaty.

"You know what's coming next." The seductive voice of Damon Salvatore came from behind me.

I turned around to see the raven-haired man behind me with a mischievous smirk.

I attempted to run to my front door, panting heavily but he was already on the other side. I screamed in surprise at the sight of him, slamming the door shut.

When I turned around again, he was behind me. I leaned back against the door, covering my face with my hands, only for him to disappear.

I glanced around the room anxiously, looking for him until I felt a sharp pain in my neck.

I shot up in my bed, sweat dripping down my back and panting heavily. That was the weirdest dream I'd ever had.

I ran a stressful hand through my hair, climbing out of bed so I could shower.

"Mom told Mrs Lockwood she would loan it to the Founders Council for their heritage display." I heard my sister say.

I frowned as I approached the table, "How much do you think this stuff is worth, like, on eBay?" I joked.

Elena sent me a glare, snatching the antique away from me, "You're not gonna find out."

"That stuff is mom and dad's." My brother yelled once he'd entered the room, "You can't just give it away."

The younger twin rolled her eyes, "I'm not giving it away. It's called a loan, Jeremy."

The doorbell suddenly rang and I had an idea of who it was, "Would that be your boyfriend?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
