I angrily storm over to Gemini, my muscles tense with frustration, and roughly grasp her hand in mine. "We need to talk, now!"
Gemini immediately recoils, snatching her hand away from my grip. "What for?" she protests, her brow furrowing in defiance.
"You want to do this here?" I hiss, my gaze sweeping over the other zodiacs around us. "In front of everyone?"
Finally, she relents and allows me to lead her to a more secluded spot along the shore, though I can't help but notice her quick, furtive glance towards Taurus as we go.
Once we're alone, I whirl around to face her, "Mind telling me what the hell is going on?" I ask, my voice rising in volume.
She scoffs and tries to walk away, but I grab her hand and pull her back towards me. "Don't give me that attitude," I warn. "Why the hell are you telling Taurus that we broke up?"
Gemini's eyes widen momentarily before her features harden. "I didn't," she insists.
"You're really going to lie to me right now?" I snarl, my nostrils flaring. "He just told me."
"So what?" she asks, her tone dismissive.
"And you're telling him I've been cheating on you?" I continue my questioning, my frustration building.
"That wasn't a lie," she says, her arms folding defensively across her chest.
"Yes, it is! None of that ever happened," I shoot back.
Gemini scoffs, still refusing to meet my gaze.
"Why are you even talking to him about our relationship anyway?" I ask.
"You got a problem with that?" she asks, her tone laced with defiant annoyance.
"Yes, I fucking do!" I shout. "This has got nothing to do with him."
Gemini remains stubbornly silent, her expression unreadable, and I can feel the tension coiling tighter within me. Her attention seemingly focused elsewhere, and I followed her gaze, which seemed to be fixated on Taurus in the distance.
Seriously?
I narrow my eyes at her, a growing sense of suspicion creeping in. "Is something going on with Taurus?" I question.
"What?" she asks, snapping out of her trance-like state.
I study her intently. "Where'd you run off to with Taurus for such a long time?"
Gemini bristles defensively, "If you must know, we were checking out the jet ski rentals," she asserts.
"Really?" I scoff, my brow furrowing. "He told me you both were looking for your phone."
Gemini falls silent, her gaze averted as she struggles to maintain her composure.
"So, which is it?" I demand, the sarcasm thick in my tone as I call out her blatant lie.
She opens her mouth, seemingly about to speak, but the words die on her lips.
"And now you're not talking again," I roll my eyes in exasperation.
Taking a steadying breath, I force myself to ask the question that's been weighing so heavily on my mind. "Do you even want to be with me, Gem?"
"How dare you!" she screams, her hands balling into fists at her sides. "You've been the one betraying my trust! I should be asking you that."
The words sting, fueling the flames of my fury. "You're sneaking off with Taurus, you're lying to the both of us, and I swear to the fucking stars, Gem, if you're cheating on me with him-" I rant, the words tumbling out in a torrent of emotion.
