"Happy birthday to you!" The signs chime in, our voices blending together in a harmonious, joyful chorus that fills the cozy, intimate space. A collective cheer erupts as the song reaches its triumphant conclusion.
Sagittarius grins widely, his face radiating with pure and unadulterated joy as he leans forward to blow out the eighteen candles that sit atop his decadent, mouthwatering red velvet cake. The vanilla icing glistens alluringly under the soft, warm lighting, beckoning the group to indulge in its rich, creamy decadence.
After the school day has drawn to a close, the others have gathered upstairs to throw a mini birthday celebration for Sagittarius. Streamers and balloons of vibrant hues adorn the floor, with a grand "Happy Birthday" sign hanging proudly above the wall. On the table, a tantalizing cake and a single knife waiting to slice into the delectable confection.
Sagittarius settles comfortably on the plush couch, surrounded by his closest friends, all of us wearing warm smiles that radiate our genuine adoration for him.
"How does it feel to finally be an adult?" Virgo asks, her tone playful and slightly teasing.
"Feels great," Sagittarius says, his voice brimming with confident elation.
"You're officially older than Capricorn" Aries points out, pulling off the tie of his uniform before slinging it across the room.
Sagittarius lets out a hearty, infectious laugh, "I was always older than Capricorn," he retorts, his grin widening to reveal his perfectly straight, pearly white teeth.
"Aw, Cap, you're the youngest guy," Leo teases, his movie-star good looks are accentuated by a devilish grin as he points his finger at Capricorn.
Capricorn rolls his eyes, "Yet a lot more mature than all of you combined," he quips, his voice laced with a touch of sarcasm.
"He's cranky," Cancer giggles, her smile alight with mirth.
"Yeah, someone get the baby his pacifier," Scorpio chuckles, his voice filled with playful mockery.
"Fuck off, all of you," Capricorn laughs, his chiseled jawline clenching briefly before relaxing, the tension in his broad shoulders dissipating.
"I think he's hungry," Libra pouts, crossing her legs as she sits on the couch.
"I know I am," Taurus chimes in, his body plopping down on the couch for a much-needed, indulgent nap.
"You want milky?" Leo jokes in a babyish tone, only to receive a playful shove from Capricorn, who can't help but let out a laugh at the absurdity.
"Go to hell," Capricorn says, the lighthearted banter leaving us all feeling warm, connected, and thoroughly entertained.
If there was a time any of us came together, it was definitely to mess with Capricorn.
"I can't wait to get the dog I wished for," Sagittarius says, his voice brimming with excitement. He turns his gaze to Capricorn, his eyes silently hinting for our leader to fulfill his birthday wish. Capricorn meets Sagittarius' look with a raised eyebrow, his expression one of amused tolerance.
I slide into the seat next to Sagittarius, wrapping my arms around his neck and peppering his cheek with affectionate kisses. "I don't think you're supposed to tell us your wish, babe," I giggle, as he rubs my thigh in acknowledgment.
"Besides, we already have a dog," Virgo jokes, gesturing towards Leo with a mischievous glint in her eyes. The group erupts in laughter at her clever quip, and Leo retaliates by grabbing Virgo's slender waist and placing a slow, sloppy lick across her cheek.
