Photography class. We got our assignment which was just looking out for light and shadow. Easy enough. I already had photos that would work for it.
Next was English.
Nothing exciting happened in class and Kijo wasn't in them.
Stacy was in my English class though.
She spent class yelling at people and calling names. She came over to my desk.
"So new boy, what's your deal?"
"Hm? I am not sure what you mean"
"Why'd you move here?"
"I got kicked out of my old one"
A lie. I was hoping she would move on from me. She did.
When lunch rolled around I walked around the school.
Kijo.
Sitting alone near some stairs.
"Hi!"
"Hm? Oh- you"
"The one and only Ellis at your service! I was wondering if we could work on the project after school sometime?"
"Sure, you can come over to mine tomorrow"
"Okay" I smiled and walked away.
When lunch finished I went to gym class.
Badminton.
My favorite.
I partnered with a boy who has dark green hair, he was good I will admit.
Then history.
I finished the first and had extra time left so I read a book. Well, tried to. My mind kept going to Kijo. Finally my last class, orchestra! Yeah yeah I know I seem like a geek or something but I don't really care.
I walked into orchestra class and grabbed my violin. I wanted to do viola because mom used to but they said I couldn't. It was my mother's favorite instrument before she went insane.
I sat down. Wait.
Kijo
She is in this class
She plays violin as well
She was sat on the opposite side of me which was good and bad.
Good that I was able to see her yet bad because I was able to see her.
She was pretty yet I get so distracted. Her smile is just a tick in my head and she is all I can think of.
Thankfully this class was my last and shortest! Sure just by two minutes but it still counts right?
Finally, the bell. I practically jumped out of my chair.
I stared at my house. Walking distance from school. I took a deep breath and entered. Dad was asleep on a chair. Thank god.
I walked to my room making as little noise as I could. Our house was tiny and one story unlike our old house but this one was closer to a hospital and rehab center. It was close to a lot of things. My room was dark blue. A normal room I'd say. I had my bed in one corner and my dresser in the other. A TV in front of the bed but not too close. A desk so I could work. A little bookshelf. It was three black boxes stacked on top of each other. The first shelf was books I either needed to finish reading or my favorites. The second was books that were muted in color. And the third was colorful books. They were all organized by size, so the books looked like stairs.
I am glad Kijo invited me to hers, never in a million years would I bring her here.
I put my bag beside my desk and began working on my homework.
I wonder if Kijo had siblings
What her room is like
Am I being creepy?
Probably
God what is wrong with me?
This homework is surprisingly easy so that's good.
I closed my folder and laid on my bed
A book sat on my nightstand.
I picked it up and read it.
