Overdue Check-Up (Poppy Playtime)

(Chapter 3) Part 14: Dogday's Rescue

Passing through the doorway, they enter into a small room with a TV to their left, a small generator just past it, a Bobby Bearhug cutout to their right, some rubble in the far left corner, a hole in the wall dead ahead of them, and a door to the far right corner.

Once Hoppy squeezes through the doorway, Nearic says, "Alright, wo do this fast, then we get out just as, got it?"

Dan nods, "Agreed."

Hoppy nods, "Mhm." Still carrying Dogday's severed legs in her arms.

The youngest takes a deep breath, "Good, now let's-" a quiet giggle is heard from afar, sounding like it's coming from a radio, as a small Kickin Chicken plush crawls through the hole and starts approaching them.

Hoppy takes a step back, "Oh no!"

Hearing his aunt's terror, he immediately brings a legs back then kicks the toy across the room, it squeals in pain and scurries off back into the hole, "Great, now we got tiny critters to deal with."

Dan looks around at the room, and sees how dark it is, which gives him an idea, he switches his hand to the F.G.H and says, "Nearic, Hoppy, pull out flashlights, if this place is anything like this room, then it's going to be dark, and if these things lived in such a dark place for 10 years, then they're going to be sensitive to it."

Nearic nods, "Smart." He then reaches back into one of the backpack's side pouches and pulls out a flashlight, quickly turning it on.

Hoppy switches her hold on the appendages in her arms and reaches back to do the same, light shining though the device with a press of a button, "Oh yeah, this is so much better."

The trio then begin to advance again, going through the doorway and into a dilapidated hallway, they continue to follow the path, turning left into a small playroom, Dan fires into the ceiling to help light it up, and with no danger seen, they keep going. But when they enter the next room, a small giggle is heard as a Catnap plush crawls in, the older brother fires right in front of it, making the toy squeal and crawl away.

Nearic spots a vent and calls it out, "This way."

Dan glances in the direction his bother heading towards, "You two first, I'll cover you."

The younger brother nods before putting the flashlight into his mouth and gripping it with his teeth before crouching down and crawling through, Hoppy following slowly behind on all fours. Dan eyes the room for anymore creepy plushies, when he hears a squeal, glancing over to the hole reveals a CraftyCorn plush approaching, he fires near it and makes it crawl away. He then starts to crouch and make his way through the vent backwards, keeping an eye behind them for any plushies.

"Agh oghff!" a muffled yell is heard from Nearic before a squeal is made after it.

Nearic finally gets out and pulls the flashlight out of his mouth before pointing it at the several plushies in the room, "Go away!" some cower and squeal, while others wince and continue to advance, forcing the young man to kick them away.

Hoppy finally crawls out and waves her flashlight towards them, making more leave them alone, finally Dan gets out and stands up, "Everyone okay?" he asks.

Hoppy grumbles, "Peachy."

Nearic looks back, "No complaining, we need to move."

Nearic runs ahead and takes the ramp to their right and taking the steps to enter through an open doorway, Hoppy and Dan following after him. The new room is a little dark, with only one light to keep the room visible, solid rubber platforms surround the room, a red door ahead of them and a tunnel to their right on a higher elevation. The trio follow the path and make their way through the room, Nearic trying the door as he passes, but it stays locked, so he moves on to the tunnel. Giggling and squealing catches the trios' attention, catching several plushies crawl through the doorway the entered through, and even more coming out of a hole below them, a quick shot of a flare and a point from two flashlights gets the bastards to flee.
