Nearic instantly stilled and started growling, "I told you what I was going to do, don't get mad at me for keeping my promise."
There's a silence for a few seconds, before a sigh is echoed through the room, "I must admit, I believed no one could ever get him to abandon the Prototype, he practically worshipped the thing."
Catnap mutters, "Don't talk about me like I'm not here."
Poppy ignore him, "Nonetheless, I'm glad you all made it out okay."
Dan tightens the knot on the necklace before stepping to his brother's side, eyeing the bandage over his left eye, "Define okay." Catnap flinches.
Nearic elbows him, "Shut up." The older brother groaning as he holds his bandaged side.
Poppy continues, "Though true, you've done more than the impossible this time. Catnap is on our side, the Red Smoke is diverted... everything is falling into place, thanks to you."
Catnap growls lowly, "I'm on Nearic's side, doll. Not yours, never yours."
The hatch in front of them hisses with movement, before it suddenly starts to rise up, revealing a small platform connected to an elevator, Catnap wilting a little, "Great, these things."
Poppy continues, "But if we're to keep going, then... then you deserve to have the truth." Her voice becoming more direct with less echo.
Hoppy looks to the right and sees Poppy standing on a small catwalk next to a vent, the doll holding what appears to be a red VHS tape, the small toy girl saying, "You came back because you wanted to see your family again..." everyone looks to her now, "And to understand what happened."
She holds up the tape, "This... this is your answer."
Catnap's eyes widened, jumping forward, "What, you're going to show him that day, what we all did?!"
Poppy glares, "We? No, you did this, I didn't want to be apart of any of that, so your God kept me in that case so I wouldn't interfere. What, are you scared your precious nephew is going to reject you over what he sees?"
Catnap yowls as Dogday says, "He wouldn't, but that's not the point. Is it really wise to show him such a horrific event, after everything he just went through?"
Dan nods, "Yeah, I know my brother better than anyone else, no offense Dogday, he's barely holding himself together."
Poppy looks at Nearic, at first seeing nothing wrong with him, until she turns her gaze to his hands, seeing left fidgeting, the digits of his thumb and index rubbing against each other frantically, she sighs, "I understa-"
"Play it." They all look at the boy, who's staring at the tape in Poppy's hands, "As much as I don't want to see it, I'm going to keep thinking up scenarios as to what that tape holds until I watch it, so let's get it out of the way now... Okay?"
Thay all stare at him in concern, until Dogday nods with a sigh, "Alright."
Catnap whips his gaze to the canine, "What?!"
Dogday raises his hands in defense, "Hey, he has a point, and f he says he wants to watch it, he watches it... he's a grown man now Catnap, he can make his own decisions."
"But-!" Catnap attempts.
Dan snaps his fingers, "Stop it, he's made up his mind. Besides, this is why we came here, to find out what happened, if we can get these recording to the police or something, we can have this place locked down, and actual sensible people save what they can from this place... including you toys, it's the least we can do to fix everything."
