The sky was dark now. It was almost 10pm but Ayla still had a little energy left in her. She got up and decided to take a night walk around the campus. She changed her outfit, put on her sling on her arm and told her roommate, Kaitlyn that she was going out before making her way out of her in-campus apartment. She walked down the empty road, only very few cars passing by now and then.

The night lights were perfect. With the cold breeze flowing through her jet-black tailbone-length straight hair. Her steps were small and slow, not the usual pace that she was used to. Her tailbone hurts every time she speeds up or does any chores that require lifting or bending. She was able to sit and stand and other usual stuff but she couldn't do it at a fast pace that she was used to like a normal human being. She had to do it far slower than usual if she doesn't want to crush her tailbone any further.

She was still under medication and rehab. She has gallons of medicines that she has to take every day and night. Not to forget the 2 hour physiotherapy that she needs to go on every Mondays and Fridays. And the countless doctor appointments. Lucky for her, all of her appointments are in the Yale New Haven Hospital itself, so it was just a 6 minutes drive from her campus. She could just take an Uber or Kaitlyn would drive her if she's free.

Kaitlyn has been really supportive and caring of her. She would check up on her every now and then, make sure if she'd eaten or taken her meds. She was really excited when she knew that Ayla was gonna be her roommate. Of course who wouldn't be if their roommate is a world-class athlete and is a famous superstar who makes millions in their 20s? Especially someone who comes from a family who made the wrestling business famous and are all internationally recognized people? Lucky for Kaitlyn, both her roommates are daughters of really famous people, Ayla being Triple H's daughter and Cassidy being Stone Cold Steve Austin's daughter. Both from the wrestling dynasty. Who else would get this opportunity, right?

Ayla walked down the road, not paying attention to where she was going. It was already bad that she was walking at night with her body condition. If only Hunter or Stephanie knew what she is doing, she was toast for sure. Her thoughts lingered, from her family, to her friends, to her career, to Maxon, to the incident that happened 3 days ago. Some points she was happy, some points she would laugh to herself, some points she gets frustrated, some points it made her sad. It was a mixed feeling for Ayla.

"Honey, I'd like you to meet your mama, Darcy Dawn Johnson. My little sister" Dwayne held Darcy's hand, bringing her close.

Ayla stood still, looking at Hunter, then at Dwayne and finally at Darcy. Her face was mortified, as though she's seen a ghost.

"But above all, you papa has been the most excited person to meet you" Dwayne said when everyone stood quiet, as quiet as a funeral house.

Ayla looked at Dwayne, awaiting for him to break the news. Dwayne looked at a corner, followed by Darcy and Hunter. Ayla's eyes followed to where they were looking.

Her eyes couldn't control the tears that came out without a warning. No, it can't be.

Shawn looked up with his tears scrolling uncontrollably as everyone in presence stared at him. He choked as he met Ayla's eyes. He can't tell how he was feeling right now. He didn't know how to feel right now. All he could utter in his heart were the words, "I'm sorry, Ayla. I didn't know sooner"

Shawn felt as though there was a gulp of sand and stones stuck in his throat, refusing him to talk.

"Shawn?" Dwayne called out when he saw Shawn who stood as still as a corpse.
