In the weeks that followed the NHL All-Star Game, YN and Tate found themselves navigating a new reality, a new normal that was both familiar and foreign all at once. They had been through so much together, had loved and lost and found each other again. But now, with the revelation of their feelings for each other and the fallout with Cole, everything had changed, and they were forced to find a new way forward.

At first, it was awkward, uncomfortable. YN and Tate were careful to keep their distance from each other, to respect the boundaries that had been put in place by the situation with Cole. They spoke only when necessary, their conversations stilted and formal, as if they were strangers rather than the two people who had once shared everything.

But as time passed, as the initial shock and hurt began to fade, YN and Tate found themselves drawn back together, unable to stay away from each other for long. They started spending more time together, grabbing coffee or lunch between classes, talking and laughing like old times.

And slowly, tentatively, they began to rebuild their friendship, to create a new normal that was different from what they had had before, but no less meaningful, no less important.

It wasn't easy, and there were moments when the old feelings would resurface, when the longing and the desire would threaten to overtake them. But they were careful to keep things platonic, to respect the boundaries that had been put in place, not just for Cole's sake, but for their own as well.

Because as much as they loved each other, as much as they wanted to be together, YN and Tate knew that they couldn't go back to the way things had been before. They had both grown and changed, had both learned hard lessons about love and life and the importance of being true to oneself.

And so, they focused on building a new kind of relationship, a friendship that was based on mutual respect and understanding, on the shared history that had brought them together and the shared future that lay ahead.

They supported each other through the ups and downs of life, through the challenges of school and work and relationships. Tate was there for YN when they struggled with the aftermath of their breakup with Madelyn, offering a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. And YN was there for Tate as she navigated the complicated world of fame and success, reminding her to stay true to herself and to never lose sight of what really mattered.

And through it all, they remained friends, remained constants in each other's lives, even as the world around them changed and shifted.

It wasn't the same as before, and it never could be. But in some ways, it was better, stronger. Because now, YN and Tate knew that they could survive anything, that they could weather any storm, as long as they had each other to lean on.

And so, they moved forward, hand in hand, not as lovers, but as friends, as two people who had been through the fire and come out the other side, stronger and more resilient than ever before.

It was a new normal, a different kind of love. But it was a love that would last a lifetime, a love that would see them through whatever challenges lay ahead. And as they looked to the future, YN and Tate knew that no matter what happened, they would always have each other, always have the bond that had brought them together, again and again, against all odds.
