Dragonstone Pov

I was at the barn looking around for a certain blue gem while Steven and the other gems were setting up for his birthday. as I looked around I felt water drip on my head before looking up to see a large water ball before it fell on my head

Dragonstone: "You're still mad aren't you." I sighed while dripping wet as I looked up to see lapis looking down at me from the Silo

Lapis: she crossed her arms and looked away "I don't see how I'd be mad. Oh wait, you called our fusion "good"." She rolls her eyes

Dragonstone: "Lapis, I..." I was cut off by lapis

Lapis: "No. I don't get you, Dragonstone. It's like you don't even know how to be...you." Dragonstone looked away "When we first met you were kind, but now that we're closer it's like you don't care."

Dragonstone: "I do care...I just..." I sigh. Unable to finish my sentence "We'll figure this out...I promise."

Lapis: she comes down from the silo and lands by him "I want to help you. You just need to tell me what's wrong."

Dragonstone: I smile softly "I will. I'm just trying to figure things out. I need to learn to be better. Now, we need to go help with Steven's birthday festivities." I turned and walked

Lapis: "What is a "birthday" anyway?" They we're about to turn the corner beat Garet came around the corner

Garnet: "Oh you don't. I need you two to do something very important for me." She shifts her shades

Dragonstone: I raise my eyebrow "But what about Steven's party?"

Garnet: "The parties not going anywhere. But what will go somewhere is Malach-I mean the special mission."

Lapis: she narrows her eyes "Really? What is this mission about?"

Garnet: "I need you two to take a break on working for once." She smiles widely while the two gems stare at her in confusion

Dragonstone: "A break? Since when have I need a break?"

Garnet: "Since today. Now, I know the perfect place for the two of you to kick back." She smirks

Mask Island

They arrived on mask island and Garnet and Lapis was dragging Dragonstone who refused to move in hopes that they'd just leave him be but garnet threw him over her shoulder and he sighed

Garnet: "This is a great place for you to try and relax. Jasper isn't going anywhere anytime soon, so you two are not allowed back until you settle whatever this is." She put Dragonstone down

Lapis: "But, is this really how you solve problems?" They watched Garnet walk over to the warp

Garnet: "Yes." Stand don the warp "I love you two, bye." Warps away. The two gems made their way onto the beach

Dragonstone: "Does she really think I don't know this is about Malachite?" I roll my eyes "It's not even a big deal."

Lapis: she flinched at his words "Yeah...not a big deal, right?" She turned to Dragonstone with tears built up in her eyes "My feelings aren't a big deal?!"

Dragonstone: "Wait, Lapis, that's not what I-..." Lapis shoved me back as I stepped back and she kept approaching

Lapis: "No! You always say insensitive things and expect others to just understand whatever it you mean! I love you so much, but to you I'm just another gem!" Her eyes widen as she blurted that out and Dragonstone stares with widened eyes
