A/N: Thank you so much for the support on this fic so far it's really made my day!

Arriving home Theo unlocked the door, surprised to see Asher sitting on the lounge. He placed his keys on the table and walked towards him, "we need to talk."

"I agree, sit down," Asher replied, his hand patting the lounge as Theo walked towards him and sat down across from him. "You need to stay the hell away from Liam, okay?"

Theo was taken back, "excuse me?"

Asher laughed, "you think I didn't see your little hero thing out the front?" Asher leaned closer, "you need to mind your own business and stay away from him."

"You asked me to take him home," Theo replied, his brows furrowed by Asher's words and attitude. "He was upset so I rubbed his back, whats the big deal?"

Asher stood up, "the big deal is that I know you love him, but he loves me. I don't need you making me look bad, got it?"

Theo stood up, "you make yourself look bad, lying to him and disregarding his feelings all the time!"

Asher nodded, "is that what he told you?"

Theo knew better then to answer that, "I can see it for myself, he didn't tell me shit." He didn't want to get Liam yelled at, especially since the younger boy had no current plans in leaving the asshole yet.

"You don't know shit," Asher snapped, "you are going to stay the fuck away from him." Asher turned and began walking up the stairs but Theo wasn't done, no way.

"No."

Asher turned back around, "excuse me?"

"No," Theo said, his open stance coming to Asher's attention, "I won't leave him alone."

Asher nodded, a small grin appearing upon his face. Before Theo could react he was being shoved back, his head hitting the wall as Asher pinned him. "You're treading on thin ice Theodore," he snapped, his voice low and almost like a growl.

Theo pushed back, kicking Asher in the stomach. "Then treat him with some fucking respect!" he yelled, a punch connecting him in the jaw as he stumbled back.

"Or what?" Asher said, throwing another punch only for Theo to dodge this one. "Are you going to make me? Hit me?" Asher laughed, "I'm not scared of you little brother."

"He was supposed to be mine!" Theo yelled, throwing his fist and managing to hit Asher on the neck. "You stole him from me!"

"I didn't steal shit, he chose me!"

"Boys!" their dad rushed towards them, grabbing both of the teens by the backs of their shirts and pulling them apart. "What the hell do you both think youre doing?"

"He started it!" Theo hissed.

"Shut the fuck up!" Asher snapped back.

"I don't give a shit who started it! Both of you, go to your rooms!" he let go of their shirts, "one at a time- Asher go."

Asher wiped his nose before stomping up the stairs, only pausing when his phone rang. He laughed, "see Theo," he showed his phone which showed Liam was calling him, "he loves me."

Theo ran forward but his father placed a hand at his chest, "no," he said. "What is with you two tonight?"

"Nothing," Theo retorted, not in the mood to explain what was happening when he didn't even really know himself. He shrugged before going up stairs, seeing Asher standing in his doorway.

"Liam needs someone who can keep him in line," Asher said in a much calmer tone, "he's clueless and he doesn't have good people skills, you wouldn't know that of course. But he needs me, someone who can redirect him and keep him straight."

"Straight?"

"You know what I mean," Asher said, "you're too soft and would give into his bullshit, he needs a real man. Like me," he smiled proudly.

"No," Theo replied, "he's a human been and he deserves to be treated with respect and be with someone who will actually love him. Like me," Theo crossed his arms, watching as Asher answered the call.

"Night little bro," he snickered before entering his own room and locking the door behind him. "Why are you calling me?"

"Well, I thought you were mad at me..."

"I am," Asher replied, tossing the phone onto the bed and getting into his pyjamas "you shouldn't be asking questions that don't concern you, I don't like that shit."

"I know, I'm really sorry," he could hear Liam's sniffles on the other line. "I didn't mean to upset you I promise, I really am sorry I don't want to fight with you."

"It's fine Liam," Asher said, not in the mood for Liam to be crying and carrying on. "I'm going to go to sleep I'm fucked," he said.

"Oh okay," Liam replied, "can we talk tomorrow?"

Asher sighed, "I've got classes and a test tomorrow, but after school come over." He'd rather game but sex could be a good stress relief.

"Okay sounds good," he could hear Liam's voice perk up at the invite, "I hope you have a good sleep, I love you."

"Yeah goodnight," Asher said before hanging up, putting his phone on charge before getting under the covers and dozing off.

Theo however couldn't sleep, his mind racing with thoughts and his blood boiling with anger. Never did he think Asher was so heartless and cold, this was the same brother who taught him how to play video games and basketball. Why was he treating Liam so shitty?

This wasn't like Asher, this wasn't the brother he knew. He felt his eyes water as he realised this guy was no longer his brother, no longer his best friend. He turned to his phone, swiping through Instagram and rolling his eyes at the amount of photos Liam had of himself and Asher.

Meanwhile, Asher had none of himself and Liam. Asher's Instagram consisted of photos of basketball, video games and parties. While Liam's was full of himself and Asher, his friends, family and lacrosse.

They were very different, too different. He knew it was only a matter of time before Liam would realise that too, and when he finally did. Theo would be able to swoop in and get closer to him, even if it was just as Liam's friend. It would be better than being a nobody to him, he could be his friend.

A/N: If you've read my other fics there's a running them of me showcasing Brett and Isaac as such assholes. I love both of them, I don't even mean to write them this way it just happens rip.
