Recap...

"What if it's the opposite? What if she's meant to be the King of Doves?" Leif questioned, quoting the word King as he throws the idea out there.

Rhys sighed, "It's possible" He admitted, "But I want to go through all of these books and make sure that's the only possibility before we get our hopes up, okay?"

I smiled before looking at the vast underground city before us.

Maybe we can fix all of this after all.

Ava's POV

I let out a heavy sigh as I looked out my window- watching the beautiful sun begin to set into the vast forest. Painting my somber face with it's golden glow. I let my eyes close as I let the heat dust my face- I still couldn't believe it. I had only woken up a week ago, and yet, so much has happened. According to the nurse that had been tending to me, I'm in Daemos- they're Daemos. Not only that, I am a Daemos.

I reach my hand up, gently touching my horns- flinching in the process. How could this happen? Did the guys abandon me here? I could feel the tears begin to flow down my face as I continued to think of them. I thought we were friends- how naive I was.

As I gasp for a breath, I could hear someone scoff from the other side of the room. I look over to see the same blonde Daemos that's attest me all week, Lady Bish.

"Suck it up, you're going to be a princess now" She mocked.

That was right, today is the day. They're forcing me to marry some Daemos named Rhal. Apparently, he's a prince- and Asch's brother. "I don't want to be a princess! You can keep your stupid title- I never wanted it to begin with!-" I exclaimed, as I wiped the tears that ran down my face.

"Listen here," She utters as she walks towards me. Stopping only a few feet in front of me, before raising my chin up with her finger, "If only you weren't so important I would've killed you by now"

My eyes shot wide. Important?- Is it because I have magic? Human magic?- I'm not even a human anymore! Not only that, I don't even know how to wield it properly.. Since I had awoken, the king had started sending teachers to teach me how to use my magic. I thought it was all just a fever dream, but things just kept getting worse.

My thoughts were suddenly interrupted as I hear a knock at my door, "Lady Ava, we're here to get you ready for the wedding-" Lady Bish scoffs at the interruption before dropping my chin and walking off- allowing a pair of maids to enter the room.

The two quickly greet me before rushing to get me ready. They caked my face with a hefty layer of make-up and styled my hair with flowers and braids before bringing out the jaw dropper. The dress. My wedding dress. Although I wasn't happy with my current situation, I couldn't help but stare in awe at the dress. It was beautiful- layered with hundreds of yards of tulle and intertwined with gemstones that covered the bodice in a lovely flower pattern.

The maids swiftly helped me put it on before allowing myself to see my reflection.

I looked gorgeous. I felt beautiful. The flowy and full wedding dress was one fit for a princess. And the mix of ivory colored flowers and what looked like baby's breath (the flower) in my hair, unlocked my inner cottage core.

"You look stunning, my lady!"

"Prince Rhal will sure be satisfied!"

My happy and cheerful expression quickly drops at the reminder. That's right, there's no reason for me to be happy right now. I'm about to be forced into a marriage of deceit and exploitation. Not only that, but with a stranger
