The team delivered the profile the next day, each chipping in with ideas they had thought of to complete it though most of it was based on the original profile that Max Ryan created all those years ago during the original case. However, throughout the delivery, Monica found herself watching a distant Ryan whenever the police force raised genuine questions of concern regarding the case. Gideon, finally having enough, turned to Ryan and offered for him to explain his reasonings for his original profile with a stern glare — one that Monica wasn't used to. Unexpectedly, Ryan stood up and left the room with a sharp no. Monica looked towards a confused Gideon and rolled her eyes, about to say something to the older man before she realized she was in front of an entire police force.
Hotch pursed his lips, sparing a look with Monica as if understanding everything she felt within seconds before he began continuing the profile as if nothing had happened. At least Ryan's rudeness silenced the officers and they were able to get their point across without any further distractions. At least that's what Elle muttered to Morgan and Monica when they sat down in Room 302 — the Conference room of the police department. The trio had found themselves struggling all morning to hide their growing disdain for Max Ryan the longer they spent around him, so they were all thankful that they got to distract themselves with files of potential UnSubs.
