I have to take things to my own hands...
I try to remove his hand...
As soon as my hand touches his...He HOLDS my hand...
I could see the smirk on his face...
Gosh...Now my hand is stuck...
"Fine...I'll let her go...Actually...let's check your strength..." Adam says
"Pull your hand..." He says
He loosens his grip on my hand...
"Seriously!!!" I say
I try to put my full force. However I knew how strong he was. My efforts would be of no use. I still try my best...
He suddenly lets go!!
Due to the force I accidentally knock over Alex's drink, spilling it all over his white shirt.
"Oh no, Alex! I'm so sorry!" I exclaim, feeling mortified.
Alex looks down at his soaked shirt and chuckles. "It's okay, Riley. Let's head to the washroom and see if we can clean this up."
We both get up and make our way to the washroom, leaving the others behind at the table. As we walk, I can't help but feel a mix of embarrassment and gratitude for Alex's calm reaction.
Once inside the washroom, Alex takes off his shirt and starts rinsing it under the sink. I grab some paper towels and help him dab at the stain.
"Thanks for helping," he says, his voice soft.
I smile, feeling a bit more at ease. "Of course. It's the least I can do after causing this mess."
As I work on the stain, Alex stands close behind me, his presence warm and comforting. "You know," he says, his voice low and teasing, "I think you just wanted an excuse to see me shirtless."
I laugh, feeling my cheeks flush. "Oh, really? And here I thought I was just being clumsy."
He leans in closer, his breath warm against my ear. "Well, if you wanted to see me shirtless, all you had to do was ask."
I turn to look at him, our faces inches apart. "You're impossible, you know that?"
He grins, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "But you like it."
I roll my eyes, trying to focus on the task at hand. "Just let me clean this shirt, okay?"
As I continue to dab at the stain, Alex moves even closer, effectively blocking my exit. "You know, you're pretty cute when you're flustered."
I feel my heart race, the proximity making it hard to concentrate. "Alex, you're not making this any easier."
He chuckles, his voice soft and teasing. "Maybe that's the point."
Finally, the stain is mostly gone, and Alex's shirt is damp but wearable. He puts it back on, and we both take a moment to catch our breath.
"Ready to head back?" he asks, his eyes warm and reassuring.
I nod, feeling a sense of connection between us. "Yeah, let's go."
We make our way back to the table, where the others are still chatting and laughing. As we sit down, I can't help but feel that this small moment with Alex has brought us closer together.
"Looks like they had a wonderful time..!!" Ryle says raising his eyebrows at Alex..
Alex just smiles...
"Where's Anna and Adam?" I ask, trying to sound casual.
Sophia looks up from her phone and replies, "Oh, Adam went to drop Anna home. She said she wasn't feeling well."
