It was Adam...

"Riley...what are you...doing here?" He asks, confused...

"I could ask you the same thing," I reply, surprised to see him. "Are you okay? You haven't been drinking, have you?"

He nods, his eyes slightly unfocused. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just had a few drinks."

I frown, worried. "Adam, you shouldn't be drinking."

Ignoring my concern, he makes his way to the bartender and orders a jug of alcohol. Before I can stop him, he downs it in one gulp. My eyes widen in shock. "Adam, stop! You shouldn't be drinking like this."

He looks at me, his expression a mix of defiance and pain.

"You have no idea how much I've already drank...." He tells.

"Adam, why are you doing this? Talk to me."

He looks at me, a strange glint in his eyes. "I know what you're thinking, Riley," he says, his voice cold. "You think I'm out of control."

His words catch me off guard, and I try to reply, but before I can, Adam slams his glass on the table, making me flinch. The sound reverberates through the bar, drawing curious glances from nearby patrons.

He suddenly pulls me closer, his grip firm and unyielding, making me gasp. "You think you can control everything, don't you?" he whispers, his breath hot against my ear. "But you can't control me."

My heart races, a mix of fear and something else I can't quite place flooding through me. I struggle to find the right words, but the intensity of his gaze leaves me speechless.

Adam's grip tightens on my arm, his eyes locking onto mine with an intensity that makes my heart pound even harder. "You think you can fix everything, Riley? You think you can make all the bad things go away?"

His breath is warm against my ear, sending shivers down my spine. I try to pull away, but his hold is unyielding. "A-Adam, please..."

He leans in even closer, his lips brushing against my earlobe. "You need to understand how much you mean to me."

My breath catches in my throat, my mind spinning with a mix of fear and something else I can't quite place. "Adam, I... I don't know what to say."

"You don't have to say anything," he murmurs, his voice low and almost hypnotic. "Just feel. Feel what I feel."

His hands slide down to my waist, pulling me flush against him. The proximity makes my heart race, and I can feel the heat radiating off his body. "Adam, this isn't right," I manage to say, my voice trembling.

"Isn't it?" he whispers, his lips hovering just inches from mine. "Doesn't it feel right to you, Riley?"

I try to muster the strength to push him away, but my resolve weakens under his intense gaze. "Adam, please..."

Before I can say anything more, he closes the distance, capturing my lips in a fierce, desperate kiss. The world around us fades away, and for a moment, it's just the two of us, lost in a whirlwind of emotions.

Finally, he pulls back, his eyes searching mine. "Tell me you don't feel something, Riley. Tell me this doesn't mean anything to you."

My breath is shaky, my mind a whirlwind of emotions. "Adam, I... I don't know..."

He leans in again, his voice a mix of desperation and determination. "Just be honest with me, Riley. Do you feel anything for me?"

I look into his eyes, seeing the raw vulnerability behind his dominant exterior. "I do, Adam. But this... this isn't the way to handle it."

His grip on me softens, and he takes a deep breath, his forehead resting against mine. "I'm sorry, Riley. I just... I don't want to lose you."

I place a hand on his cheek, trying to calm him. "You won't lose me, Adam. But we need to talk about this, not fight."

He nods, his eyes filled with regret. "You're right. I'm sorry for scaring you yesterday."

I give him a small, reassuring smile. "Let's go somewhere quiet and talk, okay?"

He takes my hand, his grip gentle this time. "Okay. Let's go."

As we leave the club, I can't help but feel a mix of relief and hope. The night has been intense, but maybe, just maybe, we can find a way to work through this together.

Adam and I step out of the club, the cool night air a stark contrast to the heated emotions inside. We walk in silence for a while, the tension between us slowly easing. Finally, we find a quiet spot in a nearby park and sit down on a bench.

Adam looks at me, his expression a mix of regret and determination. "Riley, I'm really sorry for everything. I was out of line."

I take a deep breath, trying to find the right words. "Adam, I know you care about me. But you can't let your emotions control you like that. It scares me."

He nods, his eyes filled with guilt. "I know. I just... I can't help it sometimes...There is a reason..."

I reach out and take his hand, my touch gentle. "You won't lose me, Adam. But we need to work on this together. We need to communicate and trust each other."

He squeezes my hand, his grip firm but reassuring. "I promise I'll do better, Riley. I won't  lose you."

I give him a small smile, feeling a sense of hope. "I believe you, Adam. Let's take it one step at a time."

As we make our way back to the car, I feel a renewed sense of determination. Tonight was intense, but it also brought us closer and gave us a chance to address our issues. I can't predict the future, but I'm hopeful that we can find a way to make things work.
