For the next few weeks, I spent time secretly preparing to go to the conference. I knew there were going to be a lot of other conglomerate families there, some who would probably recognize my features being so close to Yuki's. To combat this I decided to buy a disguise. I got some contact lenses, as well as a temporary hair color. Togami laughed at it somewhat but agreed with me that it was better to be safe than sorry.

I was never one for dresses, I always hated the vulnerability that came with such a feminine piece of attire, so instead, I got a business formal jumpsuit, with gold to compliment it. I tried my best to not put my hair up, curling it and pinning a few sections back for some sort of elegance.

Looking in the mirror, I only had one thought come to mind.

Yeah, that'll work just fine.

At the end of the school day, I met up with Yuki, who was waiting for me to walk home together. Only this time, she bore a slightly concerned expression.

"Hey, Yuki. I can tell by your weird face that something's up, so spill it, what's got you bothered?" I play around with my words to see if I can lighten the tension between her and me.

"No, no, it's nothing much. It's just... I've been getting a sneaking suspicion about that one meeting tomorrow. The one in Tokyo. I don't know if I'm just being paranoid, though." She responds with a hint of worry etched into every syllable.

"Have you tried talking to Princess Neve-" I cut myself off remembering she really doesn't do formalities too much when she's not in Novaselic, "I mean Sonia about it? I'm sure she might be there as a diplomatic representative for her country. I know Dad is also going as well."

"That's the thing," she quickly replies, "I already did. Sonia took it into consideration, but I don't think she'll take it seriously. And don't get me started on Dad, he laughed it off!"

I look at her closely. She was intense with her stare into the ground as if she was trying so hard to not cry, and honestly, I don't think it was going to work.

"Hey, Im sure it'll be fine. The best thing to do is just breathe it out and get your mind off of things. I don't doubt you for a second, your hunches are almost always right. It's just not a good idea to deal with it while you're all worked up."

She pauses, then sighs. "I guess you're right," she gives me a smile, her calm demeanor returning back, "You ready to go home?"

"Yep! I can't wait to get home and pig out!"

"Well?"

Togami looked me up and down, and I could swear a hint of red was gracing his cheeks. "It's... adequate. But what about the disguise?"

"Oh yeah, I was gonna get that sorted on our way up there. Any problems, 'your highness'" I make a point to get that jab in before it's too late.

"Do what you must. And don't address me with such a tone while we're up there."

"Well duh. I'm not that dense"

"Don't fool yourself."

As our ride pulls up to the front entrance of the convention door, I take one last check of my hair and eyes with the compact mirror I snagged off of Yuki's dresser. I know she was bound to notice sooner or later, but I needed it to sell the "Daisy Buchanan" vibe I was going for. Togami steps out, and to my surprise, he holds the door open for me. "Are you ready?"

I look at him in shock before snapping out of it and stepping out, making sure to take his hand to keep the act up. He holds his arm out for me to link with as we walk up.

Is it me or is it becoming a bit hot...

The room is full of people mingling around and boasting about their wealth. I find it superficial, but can't help but watch as I sit down at the table with my 'name' on it. After what seems like forever has ticked by, I am greeted by a familiar-sounding voice.

"Ah, I do not believe we have met! Would you mind if I took a seat next to you?" I turn around to see Sonia by my side, a welcoming smile on her face.

"W-why of course, Your Highness! What an honor to meet you!" I internally scream to myself. Of course, Sonia would sit down next to me, it's just my oh-so-amazing luck.

"Thank you so much! Tell me though, what are you doing here, by chance?" She sits down, gazing intensely at me.

"Oh! Well.. uh.. I came to accompany Mr. Togami over there," I point to him mingling with others, "and uh.. yea!"

Sonia chuckles, "Really? I would have never guessed such a thing! Mr. Togami always seems so closed off."

"Oh yeah! He can be at first but it's just a front he always pulls, hah." I cringe at my lies about him.

Hearing a clinking of a glass, I, along with the room, turn to focus my attention to the man up front. "May I have your attention, please? I am pleased to announce one last guest, who has become such a pioneer in the world of cosmetics"

The room turns to the door to see tufts of messy pink hair and a cheetah print jacket.

"Enoshima?"
