═════ ◈ ═════

It's been a while since I've been able to walk around the streets by myself. I've always been busy working for Byakuya or doing my schoolwork for the next day. So getting the chance to sneak out through my window and walk around alone is relaxing, to say the least.

"Oi, what're you doing out here?" Oh. Nevermind.

I look around to see who that voice belongs to, and I'm met with a familiar face. "Owada? Why are you here, this isn't Crazy Diamonds territory. You should get out of here before someone sees you."

"Never mind that, answer my question. This isn't anyone's territory, so get the fuck out of here before the cops see you." Owada rushes towards me to grab me, which I dodge.

"Shut up, I'm fine. Police don't come through here during the night, it's usually just personal protection, and I'm not too close to the actual houses to be seen as a threat. On the other hand, you aren't welcome by people like those who live here."

"Oh yeah? And how would you know? You stalk them or somethin', you creepy bitch?" Owada slightly raises his voice to emphasize his insult. I go to respond, but I realize that if I were to rebuttal, I might accidentally reveal who I am. I can't help but look away, "it's... not like that..."

"Oh yeah? What is it like, then? You're just scared because you got caught" Owada comes up to me, "Come on, let's get out of here. I don't want to have to explain your absence tomorrow if you get caught."

I sigh. I'm sure I'll find my way back eventually. At least I hope. Besides here, I don't know my way around without my phone which is in my room.

"Sora! There you are!" I hear a feminine voice rush up to us, and I instantly start to panic at who it is.

"Yuki..!" I can't help but start to chuckle, "I didn't know you heard me..."

"Of course I did, you forgot to shut the window on your way out. I instantly knew you left. Didn't I tell you to not sneak out without telling me? What if you got hurt? I know you're a good fighter, but still.."

Owada looks over to me, a look of shock in his eyes, "Sister!? You mean to tell me you're an Asahi!?"

"Well..." I couldn't think of anything to use as an excuse,  "Ok, fine. My full name is Sora Asahi. I am the second daughter of the famous Asahi conglomerate, as well as second in line to inherit the business." I look over at him, and all I can see is him backing up slightly. To the Crazy Diamonds, the Asahi conglomerate is one of the most dangerous foundations to come across, let alone mess with.

Owada immediately kneels to the ground, putting his head to the ground as he bows to Yuki and me, "I am so sorry. Don't tell anyone what I did, Sora, or I'll be in serious shit, I won't do it again, I promise." I've never seen Owada in such a compromising position. The usually high and mighty gang leader is cowering like a child. I hate seeing it, so I respond, "Come on, stand up. I won't go telling shit to anyone, dude."

"Thank you so much, Asahi. I owe you one for this" He gets back up and dusts off his pants.

"Well actually, I have a favor to ask. Don't tell anyone what you saw, or who I'm connected to. I don't need my friends to think I'm a pompous asshole. I'm just Sora. No more, No less."

Owada responds as he runs off, "You got it, Sora. I make a man's promise." And with that, he was out of my sight.

Yuki comes up to my side, commenting, "Well, that was certainly interesting. I knew you had a connection to a gang leader, but I didn't expect it to be Mondo Owada. Do you think you can trust him? If not, I can assign personnel to watch him."

"No, that won't be necessary. If there's one thing I learned about him throughout the weeks, it's that he is serious about his promises. I know he'll carry it to his grave, however close or far it is," I take Yuki's hand in mine, "Now come on, I think Dad'll notice a breeze if we don't hurry back soon"

"Yes, let's."

Walking into class the next day, I am met with the usual scene. People are in their little cliques, mingling about whatever. I walk up to Byakuya with the usual coffee in each hand. "Here, I made sure it didn't cool down too much, so you don't need to worry."

"Ah, yes. Stand here just a moment," Byakuya orders me, before reaching into his hand and handing me twenty thousand yen, "This should make up for the past few weeks. You have been paying for this by yourself, haven't you?"

I just stand there, with the money in my hands. "Wow- uh, thanks, Byakuya. This is kind of you. You didn't have to pay me back..."

"Well, consider it a new day. I'll pay for the coffee since I am more than capable of doing so. I know how financially tough it is for you to live." He says, knowing full well I am not poor.

"I'm not-" I sigh in exasperation, "Whatever, dude, no skin off my back."

"Sora!" I look over to see Owada running towards me, before planting something in my hands. Looking down, I see a tiny pin with what seemed to be an insignia planted on it. "This is a seal of protection. Wear this around so that any thugs'll know that you aren't to be messed with. I have another one for your sister, too."

"Oh! You didn't need to do this, Owada. I can handle myself just fine," I chuckle a bit, "I'm sure Yuki'll appreciate this gesture, though. Thank you, again."

Owada slugs an arm around me, "Yeah, sure, man. It's a man's promise." Owada releases me and walks off.

Looking back at Byakuya, I can see the annoyance creeping out from his facial expression. "Don't tell me you hang out with that plebian now. That would be far below you, Sora."

"Relax, I just happened to run into him one night, and I helped him out with some trouble he was in. Nothing special." I take my Crazy diamond pin and stick it to his blazer. "Here, you'll need this more than me. You are next in line. The other'll go to Yuki."

Byakuya's face turns red from what I just did, as he responds, "And what about you? I swear, you never think of yourself."

"I'm the ultimate street fighter for a reason. A couple of goons won't do me any harm. Plus, I'm second in line, so I'm not worth all that much to them. No way it'll change anytime soon, I'm sure of it." With that, I return to my seat, glad to have found a new confidant in Owada, as well as a new way to help out Byakuya...

...Why am I glad about Byakuya???
