Kira wasn't sure how long she's been staring at the folder that the goth gave her. If not because of the bell or maybe the voice calling her name, she wouldn't snapped back.
"Good morning! Where's Sammy?" The blonde werewolf beamed not noticing that the girl had been stoned for a while.
If not for Yoko who pointed it out, Enid's bright smile wouldn't have lessened in worry.
"You okay, Kira?" Yoko asked.
Kira looked at the vampire and to the folder. "Yeah... Yeah I- I'm sorry, what were you asking?" She asked Enid only Yoko who replied.
"She's looking for Sammy but I think she already found what she truly looking for." The vampire chuckled. Enid shook her head furiously as she glared at her best friend. Meanwhile, the ginger in front of them is still at a loss.
"Hi, guys!"
"There she is! I told you, Enid already found her." Yoko chimed pointing at Sammy who just came.
"Oh, were you looking for me?" Sammy asked Enid.
The she-wolf chuckled awkwardly and the vampire could only keep her laughter. "Like Yoko said, not anymore."
"Oh. Anyway," Sammy turned to her roommate, and for the first time, maybe, Kira's fully back to herself. "Have you talked to the principal? He did let you withdraw your application right?"
"Withdraw? What application?" Enid chimed looking at Kira and Sammy. It wasn't surprising for Enid to think that Kira would have withdrawn from Nevermore. After all that is happening and knowing enough that the ginger's been unsettled with unwanted attention lately. And it wasn't the first time someone she wanted to be friend would want to leave Nevermore.
Enid didn't know why she thought Kira would do the same thing Wednesday wanted to do before.
"About that..." Kira started. She looked at the folder and showed it to them.
"Oh gosh— you got it?!"
"Kind of... Uhm someone got this for me... I think." Kira mumbled unsure.
"What is it?"
"Her application for Fencing club," Sammy replied to Enid.
"You're joining the club?! Or are you? Wait, did Sam say you withdrew?" Yoko inquired nonstop making Enid elbow her. "Aw!"
"Technically I didn't plan on joining the club but Xavier signed me up. So yesterday, I planned to talk to the principal to withdraw and it turned out..."
"Wait, who helped you? Principal Nohm was pressed on pushing you to join Fencing. If he accepted the application form signed by Xavier, there's no way he will give it back to you right away."
"It's because I'm not the one who got this. He didn't give it back either. Wednesday did... I'm just not sure how."
"Wednesday?" Enid repeated.
"Yeah, she just—" Before Kira could finish her sentence, her phone chimed from her pocket. The three girls were waiting for Kira to continue her sentence but what happened next was what they didn't expect."I-I'm sorry but I have to go."
Enid noticed the sudden change in Kira's expression and it worried her for a bit. "The class is about to start. Where are you going?"
"I don't feel good today, please excuse me to the teacher, Enid." With that, Kira left the three girls stunned. Enid could tell that Kira wasn't lying. The way Kira's face turned blanched was enough clue, what she didn't know tho, though it was more than that.
