His voice felt like a warm kiss as he spoke against my ear.
"Are you okay?" I looked up knowing the person who held me. something stirred in me, this intensity was just like the oil to the fire I lit up a few moments ago.
"Your shirt was about to catch fire" Words stood still in my throat.
"Y/N!?" he spoke as he shook the arm that he had held. "Are you listening? Are you hurt anywhere?" he spoke as he distanced himself to check my palm.
"I- um" I despised this kind of situation. My emotions have taken control over my mind and I cannot even express what I want to say. But I won't make a fool of myself, not again.
"No, I am alright, I just burned my palm, it's okay, it isn't paining" I took my hand from his grip as his worried gaze lingered on me for a while as if not contemplating if I was lying or justifying the truth.
"No, you must get that treated, burns can be really painful as time passes by" There was a glimmer of sternness and concern in his voice. I know being modest is not a good idea so I let him do whatever he wanted to.
He held my unburned hand as he led his way to his bedroom, I had never walked into his room before even when I was told to do the house chores, he denied me going to his room saying he would do it on his own.
"Sit" he guided me to the bed as he walked away to get first aid.
There was something about Jin as if he was hiding something, he seemed like a different person whenever he spoke to someone else. His usual cool and kind aura with me switched to a cold and stern aura with others. I have noticed it when he spoke to that man in the market who held my hand.
"Show me" his voice turned into a command as he squeezed the ointment from the tube.
I slowly raised my hand from my lap, placing it on his palm which he held out. His rough fingers brushed through my palm a shiver rushed through me. I have never felt like this before, I have never gotten this urge to be touched, to be held, and to be cared for. These emotions were different, and they were only aroused when he was near.
There was a lot about Jin to admire more than his captivating face, his gestures of kindness and concern and his love for cooking could make any woman fall into his charms.
"Are you hurt anywhere else?" I slowly shook my head indicating a denial. A slight 'hm' left from his throat by his unusually deep voice.
As I sat there facing him his gaze stayed fixed on me, causing a knot of confusion to form in my stomach. I cannot understand his objective - was he trying to search for any signs of discomfort caused by the accident, or were his eyes simply admiring me? The uncertainty left me feeling uneasy and self-conscious.
As if the world slowed down, I felt the wind stand still leaving a comfortable silence, the soothing melody of rain filling the atmosphere and our breaths, slow and steady were audible throughout the room. His eyes still stayed on mine which were blurred and unable to understand his emotions. He raised his hands as he tugged a few stands of my hair behind my ears, a slight smile drawing on his face as he leaned in towards my face, filling in the space.
"You don't have to cook Y/N" his voice.
His voice echoed as if a warm comforting blanket wrapped around me like a warm embrace. There was something about the way he spoke, his eyes staring straight into mine and his lip moving slowly while his hot breath hit the side of my face. The warmth from his body radiating as I sit still my body stiffed in its place. I have never been in this proximity with anyone before.
