Jungkook grabbed the lying gun on the seat and turned to move out but suddenly halted. He turned towards me with an expression I had never seen.

Was it a cautious look?
Was he scared?
Was he-

"Don't step out of the car" His words interrupted my thoughts. There was silence again or maybe it was me who imagined the non-existing silence.
I was surrounded by men who were firing at each other, killing them instantly. A few dressed in black and a few dressed in blue confronted each other with heavy arms.
I felt anxiety growing in me again. My breathing became heavier with each second, my eyes went numb and my palms grew wet. I felt something was coming, something alarming, something that would leave me in desperation.
The door harshly pulled open.

"C-come" Jungkook panted as he grew a grip on my wrist and pulled me outside.

" W-where?" The actions stood so fast, a second ago I was sitting in the car and now I am running deep into the forest.

" Jungkook, where?" Making an effort to make my voice firm, I asked again but that didn't work as the words felt like I was on the verge of crying.

"Just run" he spoke breathly.

The destination was unknown, the surroundings lacked imprints and each second I found myself losing to the forest.
Tears rolled down from my eyes. It was difficult for me to keep up with Jungook, my legs began hurting, and my mind flashed all my memories with my Father. Oh, how safe I was when I was with him, living in a place with no contact with the outside world. All I need is a home.

At a distance, a bright light was visual, not sunlight but warm street lamps and there it was the dark blue sea with yachts parked alongside the harbour.

We lowered our pace. Jungkook calculated some important measure inside his mind as I stood beside him breathing heavily still having a grip on his hand.

"There," he said and rushed towards a yacht, tightening his hold around my wrist.

There it was just a few more steps and no more chasing, I could finally see my father and I could finally stop holding these thick tears back. But destiny had some other plans.
Again the same sound of thick air being sliced and hitting some metal. We turned our heads in the direction of the sound, there was a hole in the yacht that we came running by, precisely a bullet hole. Jungkook looked into the woods trying to figure out some human shape that would alarm him but couldn't find one. The actions may sound like lagging but in each action he placed we kept running towards the yacht.

Suddenly there was a repulsing force that held me back. I looked back to see Jungkook taken aback holding his lower side abdomen. He removed his bloody hand from his side abdomen and tried to stand still.

"Y-you're shot" I was sure they weren't audible. I stood there helpless while he painfully whimpered.

"G-go" he spoke shakily

"N-no I can't leave you, you-" Before I could continue there was another gunshot and I felt myself being pulled to somebody.
It was Jungkook.
The bullet missed and hit another yacht. I looked up to see his gaze on me, at the edge of his eyes there were tears moulded. The pain must be unbearable.

"At the end of the harbour, there is a yacht, b- board it, the captain-" The gunshot along with some rushing footsteps were audibly heard from afar.

"Go," he said as he pushed me away from him, clenching onto his gun he pulled it out from his waistband and pointed towards the sound of footsteps.

It wasn't too long when I heard gunshots erupting again. Determined I didn't turn back, I ran with all my strength towards the end of the harbour. Suddenly the roars of motorcycles broke out in the not-so-still atmosphere.

A group of jet-blue coloured attire on motorcycles came into my view, heading towards me. I suddenly halted and stirred at my position alarming thoughts made their way to my brain, I pondered things fast and rushed towards the nearest boat. A cutter boat, its sails long enough to hide me.

A few minutes passed by I stayed fixed in my state when the motorcycle sound started to deteriorate I slowly slipped through the sails and made my way to the harbour stand but as if the idea of me escaping wasn't appreciated by Mother Nature, I slipped on water.
My head hit something hard and heavy and with a low thud, I fell. The impact was so ominous that my brain stopped functioning leading my eyelids to be uncontrollable. They slowly fell and the last thing that came into my view was the sky full of stars.

My mind hazed as I opened my eyes, and the first thing that came into my vision was a dog, a golden retriever. Its golden fur shined by the warm rays of the daybreak. Before I could realise where I was a strong yet gentle breeze of wind hit my face.

There was a strong smell of salt and the fragrance of fresh flowers. When I glanced around my surroundings there was a blue sea everywhere. I looked back at the dog who now was tilting his head and sticking his tongue out with a not-so-friendly look.

He barked. Not once or twice, he kept on barking each second he grew closer to my face. I wanted to stand up but my legs lacked energy and when he was an inch away from me, he got pulled back by his leash.

"Asihh don't scare strangers like that, it's bad manners" A smooth honeyed voice spoke from behind.

I looked only to catch myself off guard

Damn.

Guess who did a PhD on boats. For reference, this is the cutter boat
