The five trekked through the woods, calling for their missing party member.
"Will!"
"Byers!"
"Liam?!"
"I've got your X-Men 134!"
"Wi-Will!"
The rain was making it increasingly hard to see and Lucas and Archie kept shooting concerned looks towards Theo, who was twitching and fidgeting nervously.
"Guys, I really think we should turn back." Dustin speaks up while Lucas falls behind next to Theo.
"You okay?" He asked his friend, throwing an arm around Theo's shoulders, both finding more comfort in the gesture than they'd like to admit.
"Just got a bad feeling about this." Theo shrugged, smiling at Lucas. Both tuning back into the group conversation.
"I'm just being realistic, Archie!" Dustin's voice broke, and Theo laughed into his hand.
"No, you're just being a big sissy!" Lucas butted in, earning a jab in the ribs from Theo. "Ow! Dick." He mumbled, holding his side.
"Did you ever think Will went missing because he ran into something bad? And we're going to the exact same spot where he was last seen? And we have no weapons or anything?" Dustin spoke up, trying to be reasonable. He did have a point, though he didn't know that they did have weapons.
"Dustin, shut up." Mike snapped back, obviously annoyed. "I'm just saying, does that seem smart to you?"
"Sh-shut up." Archie said, he hated when people fought and they all felt a little bad for causing their best friend to be uncomfortable.
There was rustling beside them. "You guys hear that?" Theo asked, looking around. They all turned in the direction it was coming from, only to find nothing.
There was a snapping tree branch from behind them and they all turned, gasping at what they saw.
Two kids. A boy and girl, both bald. In a Benny's Burger shirt and shorts. Did these kids meet Theo's dad? Are they why he has to stay at Mike's? He should call his dad.
Theo shook his head of his thoughts, taking his raincoat and sweater off and giving it to the girl, he was raised to respect women.
He nudged Archie to do the same with the boy, both were lanky and tall and are probably the same size.
"Here, take these." Theo spoke softly, handing his sweater the girl, who looked at it confused. "May I?" He asked, taking the sweater from her and gently helping it over her head and arms, helping her put the raincoat on next. "There." He smiled at her, pulling both hoods over her head.
