Y/n's POV

"Y/n wait in this tree. The first passerby is your prey. Kill them." Father instructed. "I will wait in the area watching you." He then disappeared but I could still feel his gaze watching me. It was a full moon tonight, and it was beautiful. 'I wonder what kids at 11 years old do. I don't think they train like me.' I sat in the top of my tree for a while watching the stars as I suddenly felt the presence of someone who was not my father. 'It's my prey.' I hesitantly grabbed my knife and felt for the bottles of poison I had in my pocket. I sighed and put on a smile to my face just as a way to comfort myself. 'It's okay, it will be over quick and you won't even remember killing the person.' I watched as the person I sensed came into my view. It was a girl. No. A boy. The baggy clothes made it difficult to see his body proportions but I'm pretty sure I'm correct. He has long hair with turquoise tips and matching turquoise eyes. 'He looks so young, maybe my age? Possibly older?' As the turquoise boy walked towards my direction I kept comforting myself in my head and smiled to try and ease the pain I was getting from the thought of killing someone innocent who was my age. 'It's now or never I guess'. Tears started running down my face as I silently hopped off the branch I was sitting on and aimed my knife at the boy's heart. Right before I was about to stab the boy, he looked up and quickly pulled out a katana and blocked my attack. 'He stopped me. I couldn't hurt him. He's strong. Stronger than me. I didn't notice from the tree but his aura is much more powerful than mine. He's gone through some sort of training and was able to react to my sudden attack.' I felt a shiver go down my spine as I realized my father saw my attack get blocked and was silently screaming at me to hurry up and get the job done. I don't want to. The turquoise boy ran at me with his sword and questioned me, "hey who are you. Why did you just try to kill me. Wheres the other thing watching us. It doesn't seem human." My blood ran cold. He could feel it too. The inhuman presence aura my father and all the other villagers gave off. Our blades clashed together as more tears formed in my eyes. "Help me please. I'm getting forced to kill you but I don't want to. Help please." I whispered and I started to cry more aggressively. The boy i was fighting had such empty yet beautiful eyes, but I could swear for a second there was a little light glowing in his eyes. After a few more minutes of us clashing our swords together I jumped as I heard a yell from my father. "STUPID KID HURRY UP AND KILL HIM. WHY ARE YOU SO SLOW." I shook violently holding my knife and made eye contact with the boy. "Help..."

The boy's POV

I can tell this girl is being forced to do this against her will. Why do I care though? I'm just gonna forget... I felt something though as I saw her shake and cry and make eye contact with me. 'I guess I can help her. She's already trained in combat too so she could be a good demon slayer with not too much training.' "I'll help you." The girl widened her eyes as I swiftly but gently kicked her in the stomach making her loose her balance as I picked her up and swung her over my shoulder. She's a little shorter than me, probably by a few centimeters making this the easiest way to carry her. 'The other things presence, it's odd. I should go tell the master.' I started running towards the HQ and told my crow Ginko to call the other Hashira too because I felt something was off...
