N: This bonus chapter takes place before the event of my first DL fanfiction. A small prequel to DL Change of Destiny. Hope you all enjoy it.
........Three days into the zombie virus outbreak, and life was great for young, dark-haired girl Hayashi Yuki.
You'd think it's all fun and games. No police around rules don't apply anymore.
People team up in groups to fight the undead to or other survivor groups in Kinama survive to live another day. population indoors was unaffected by the virus still alive. It's a load of bull crap. Surprised, find a hard way when snuck into a convenience store for snacks they were all infected by the virus. She was able to grab a bag of chips and a box of bottled water. Out of politeness, She threw money on the counter and got out of there.
First day when the virus outbreak happened. She escaped and ran as far as she could without looking back. She couldn't. She owed it to her sister and parents to live. Bile rose up in her throat. She threw up in the corner of an alleyway and ran for miles. Witnessed people screaming in the streets and turned. Or new undead tearing civilian apart. Using yellow teeth teeth tearing into their flesh and organs spilling out onto the street. Thos town was turning into a bloodbath.
........
As much as Yuki wanted to figure out what caused the virus. It would have to wait. Now, she needed to find somewhere to hide and fast before she became a zombie happy meal.Considering large population of the undead. It would be hard to travel around without being spotted.
It's almost like season one of the Walking Dead game, where Lee and Clementine are travelling through the city on sign above a street and see a swarm of zombies in the main street.
She was alone.
She decided to hide in an apartment complex near the high school.
It took two days to gather enough supplies and navigate out the town safely back to her family mansion. Locked the whole place down and searched for any survivors. No luck. Absolute radio silence forms the outside world, too. None of her friends answered their phones. Family maid wasn't answering.
Called Ryoutei Academy principal, thinking even in an apologise, at least there would be an adult taking charge. Nada.
Thought about her father's political acquaintance and family friend Tougo Sakamakis.

He asked if she was happy with her life.
She was blessed with good family and household. Good school friends she could rely on. Good grades and advanced level. It came natural to her. what more can she ask for? Felt like Tohru Honda.
He listened without interrupting.
But.
But?
She could not help but feel something was missing in life. Like she was living up to her full potential.
She was used to pleasing everyone around her, making their day a little bright, and made her happy.
Deep down, no matter how perfect her life may seem. She was not happy. Hide it from the people around her.
She had crushed when little but never experienced what was meant to fall in love. Someday , the bride was a dream of hers. Stupid dream.
Not silly at all. Dreams are special.
