Chapter 5 : Part I

A/N: First, Arigato for voting and 149 views, thank you so much it means the world to me. Apologies for the long wait as I have been attending a workshop this week for my course. This fanfiction was inspired by Yandere x reader Young Savage. fact: inspired for me to see what would happen if there was a different storyline/plot outcome.
I do not own Rejet's Diabolik Lovers characters only my oc's Yuki Hayashi (main heroine character.) Her family mentioned, plot and cover.

Yuki's POV

I had a nightmare about that day when everything changed; the apocalypse and virus that turned people into walkers.

It still haunted me every time I slept or close my eyes.

My parents were dying because of the virus and begged me to shoot them before they turned into monsters.
I shakily held the pistol with both hands closing my eyes as I aim at their foreheads and pulled the trigger, hearing the shots: I open my eyes to see I hadn't missed, my parents were gone I couldn't even save them but I couldn't stay here I had to keep moving.

My sister sacrificed herself to make sure I escaped.

"Run Yuki. I will hold them off until you get outside! You will become the head of the Hayashi family, carrying the weight on your shoulders. "
She shouted at me trying to shove me towards the doors. " But Miko..." I protest not wanting to leave her behind. She was crying as she touched my shoulder for possibly the last time. "Just go...Yuki, live on. For us, and for our parents... Put the Hayashi mansion into lockdown... This is a goodbye as we part ways... we will always love you..." then I made a tough decision, I ran out the doors and heard her shoot before the sound of her lifeless body hit the ground.

I made a vow to myself. "Miko. Onee-san. Your sacrifice will not be in vain. Before I die, I will make things right, this I promise you... I will put an end to this apocalypse and come back to reverse the virus."
Then I ran as fast as I could away from there.

Yuki woke up gasping for breath and a hand over her chest where her heart was still beating.

It took a few minutes to calm down my racing pulse as I turn to glance out the glass door.

"One more day to go and I won't have to be here anymore. I will do what I must to put an end to this apocalypse, even if my time is running out."

I reminded myself sitting on the edge of the bed taking out my journal and pen, starting to pour every thought through the pen and filling up the pages with what events have been happening since I came to this place, the rumours about the Sakamakis, Mukamis and Tsukinamis being vampires were true. Not a single detail was forgotten as I suddenly put my left hand on the collar of my neck and felt a bite mark, a few hours old.

One of them had sucked my blood as I slept, glancing down I saw my boots had been taken off, glass broken on the carpet!

' It may seem during that time, one of them has been bold to have bitten me which is not the least wise move on their part. Now as I write the nightmare still reminds me of my lose as what has happened to my parents, I shot them before they turned and my sister, who gave up her life to ensure I lived on as the last Hayashi.
