As soon as I was far away from that room, I ran as quietly as possible.
It was even harder to navigate through the hallways and corridors until I found a stairway, and descending down the steps hurrying until I reached the top level of the living room , and walked down the steps to the lower level.
Just when I guessed where the kitchen was, I nearly tripped over something large and caught myself in time.
What did I nearly trip over?
Seeing platinum blonde hair and a flower clip: I had recognized that clip anywhere, even the girl who used to be a transfer student Ryoutei Academy who'd lived with the Sakamaki's.
then a month later, Mukami's and two Tsukinami's, and now it seemed back to the first family anywhere: Komori Yui.
You barely know this girl, go find the kitchen and leave.
I lower myself to my knees and gently, shaking her shoulder. She weakly stirred, opening to reveal barely glazed over sherbet pink eyes. Her pulse was getting weaker, and she was clammy, but lucid.
Yui saw my face, barely recognizing me at first because I was drenched in blood, and when she saw my indigo eyes, her eyes widened in recognition who I was.
"...Yuki?"I nod silently, and she weakly touched my blood-stained hand.
"Thank god you're alright, how did you find this place or get in?" She asks me, voice nearly cracked. I glanced around to see we were alone, and then I turned my attention back to her .
"That does not matter. I did not even know there was a mansion all the way out here, and how I got in does not matter. I was going to raid the food supply, but I never expected to run into them here. Did they do this to you, Yui?" I answer, adding in a question, as I pulled aside her curls from her neck to reveal bite marks: slowly becoming a bruise-like purple.
"Hai. They have been drinking more and more since the apocalypse started. For some reason, I feel like I can trust you, even if we never got the chance to know each other in school."
I was genuinely surprised she even noticed me, less unexpected the vampires haven't tried to control their thirst.
"However, how did you know they were vampires?" Yui curiously asks Yuki.
"I did not know what they were before, but... I felt something was off about them. Even that rumour, it didn't add up until I saw it for myself what they were... thank goodness it hasn't gotten to your heart, or you would have been long gone." It did not occur to her yet what critical situation she was in.
"What has not gotten to my heart? It was not originally mine. What's happening to me?" She really did look unwell, and it seemed very naive. The heart in her chest didn't originally belong to her. Was it implanted by someone?
Did those guys deliberately chose to not say anything to her.It reminded me of two months ago. I had been told I would have to have to undergo an operation to remove my heart and have another implanted. And in a day or so, it would have been that day it would have happened.
"But that day will never come... because I will die... never mind, ha-ha, just a thought. Okay, what I'm trying to say is if they have been sucking your blood all this time, that means you are slowly dying now. "
" if you die, you will turn into a walker. And that is a fate far worse than death. The virus has gotten into your bloodstream, and you will lose all humanity and soul if you turn into a walker... if what you say is true, what kind of creature's heart is embedded in your chest?"
I explained thoroughly to Yui firmly that she hesitated, which meant it must be some sort of secret."...The triplets mother's heart, Cordelia was a first blood vampire." There was a faint bell chiming in the back of my mind. There was something awfully familiar about those two words.
First Blood, it sounded incredibly old. It made me uneasy when she asked what it was.
"A First Blood vampire heart... in a human body... slowly turning into a walker...bloody hell that's bad news... It's really bad... it doesn't make sense how that's even possible ... but that leaves with no other choice... you have 23 hours at best to live and you have two choices. One... I end your life right now..." I took out my pistol, pulling the revolver to a new chamber and cocked it at her head, Yui's eyes widened a little scared. "Why are you doing this?"
She removed her hand. Some part of me was fighting against dropping the pistol, but I held on firmly to it.
I couldn't let her turn because if she did, the walker might endanger us all town to town to cities in Japan.
Someone pushed me away from Yui and pinned me down, causing me to drop the gun.
