Adrian's POV
Derek came out to me a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't remember. He hasn't said a word to me about it, and he hasn't acted weird around me. He was pretty fucking drunk, so I guess it kind of makes sense. I feel like he has to somewhat remember, right? It's not like an insignificant thing to say to someone, and if he was truly that drunk, maybe there's some things he should change.
Anyways, I'm definitely going to come out to the team before the playoffs start. Our first playoff game is next Friday, so I will probably come out to them sometime this coming week. This weekend, Jax planned for me, Derek, and Dominique to go over to his house and play basketball with him because he has a hoop in his backyard. What does he not have?
When I come out to the team, I'm going to have to gage Derek's reaction. He told me he's gay, and I don't really know if I believe him. He was drunk after all, but if he looks surprised or something like that, maybe he's actually gay.
Now I have to go over to Jax's house for basketball, which I've said before, I'm not really that good at, but I get some good cardio in from just running around. I'm an alright defender, but past that, I'm pretty shit.
Derek:
Can you drive me to Jax's house?
Adrian:
Sure
I'm fine with driving Derek places. I don't really know why he wants me to drive him around still, he has a car that works now, but I guess he just doesn't want to drive. Maybe that's another point for him being gay. He's not a good driver.
I don't really know much about Derek's home life, but I know that his parents are divorced. They live in different areas of Los Angeles, pretty far from each other, and as far as I know, he is living with his mom.
I'm pretty sure I know where I'm going to college. I've been getting so many offers. My season stats are actually crazy. I have double digit interceptions, which is really difficult to achieve. Derek and Jax have more than 10 interceptions on the season as well, and their stats look good. I'm sure they're getting plenty of offers from colleges as well.
Anyways, I'm definitely going to UCLA. Staying in town would be great, and it would be to my benefit to not move to a stereotypical gay city like San Francisco, even though LA is sort of a gay city. I have the excuse of already living here.
I get in my car and start playing music on the way to Derek's house. He does not have a bad house. His mom must get a lot of child support money from his father, or she has a really good job.
Adrian:
I'm outside
Derek:
Great
I wait in my car for Derek to come out, and he walks out wearing basketball shorts that show off damn near his entire fucking leg. He has really good tan. I knew that, but it's just fucking majestic.
"What's up," he daps me up, getting in my car.
"Nothing much, how bout you?" I ask him.
"The normal shit. My mom is gonna make me do some stupid ass church volunteering tomorrow, I don't really want to, but it's fine."
"That sounds boring as fuck," I tell him.
"Yeah. I'll be out of there soon, I'll probably leave the state for college."
"Where are you thinking about going?" I ask.
"I don't know. Maybe Washington, but Oregon works as well. I just want to go somewhere chill, you know? This city is great and I love it here, but I want to go somewhere where everyone isn't in your face with cosmetics."
