The moment after Aaron and Cameron kissed in the endzone, they were predictably bombarded by questions. They both knew it was going to happen. Something like this was a complete bomb they just dropped on the team, something none of them saw coming, other than Devin who already knew full well what was going on.

The week after the state championship, Cameron and Aaron were the school's golden couple. Everyone put them on a pedestal, flaunting them to other schools. Who thought that these two, who got physical after a playoff loss last season, would suddenly become the cutest couple in the entire school. 

The school had an assembly after the game, where all the players would come up one by one to get their medals and touch the trophy. This is the first state championship that Bryant High School won in their school's history. This was a major event that everyone was excited about.

Everyone went up one by one, until Cameron and Aaron went out. They were supposed to go out one by one, but they decided to go together. They held hands, walking down the middle row of the auditorium, the entire auditorium erupting into cheers when they saw them. 

"This is so awesome babe," Cam whispered to Aaron. 

"I know. They love us."

"Not as much as I love you though."

"Yeah. I love you more than they love us too," Aaron replied. 

They stayed hand in hand as the principal put the medals over their heads. The moment they both had the medals, they turned to face each other, kissing each other passionately but not explicitly. 

"Congratulations to the football team for their accomplishment. You have brought us to the promise land, and I wish you all the best of luck in the future," the principal said.

Cameron and Aaron were on top of the world. Nothing was going to break their stride, and any roadblocks would just be completely plowed over. Never before had two humans felt such love for each other. 

They went home that night, smiles everywhere and overall happiness prominent. The two of them were just the perfect couple. 

A week later, the votes for prom king and queen came in, with Cameron and Aaron winning easily. It wasn't even close. The school heroes, the sweethearts, the most beautiful couple in the school, all of the good things you could call them. 

There was another assembly held for the prom, and the sound in the auditorium was completely deafening. Aaron and Cam could barely hear each other as they walked up the middle row of the auditorium, holding hands. They were not wearing their all white suits that they were going to go to the prom in, instead they were wearing conventional black suits. They still looked great.

"Bryant High School! Make some noise for your 2024 prom kings!!! Aaron Williams and Cameron Patterson!!!" one of the student council members hyped them up, despite the already deafening sounds of cheers. 

Cam and Aaron stepped up to the mic to say something, trying to quiet the crowd down as they were up there.

"Alright, well first, I would just like to take a moment to thank all of you for voting the two of us prom king. This is an honor that I didn't think I'd get until me and Cam started dating. Thank you so much for the support, we appreciate it so much," Aaron said.

Cam stepped up to the mic, not noticing how many people in the crowd passed out on the sight of the two of them. "Thank you so much for this. You guys are the best. Imma be honest. I didn't need to win this to be happy. Aaron is already enough, but now I have a meaningless title for being the uglier half of this couple. Thank you so much!!" Cam joked.
