Devin's POV
At the current moment, I'm a very lucky as well as a very unlucky person.
Talking to Alicia helped me a lot. She's a ray of sunlight in my life and I'm extremely thankful that I have her. To be completely honest, before I was with her, I was high key depressed. All of my friends could tell, and they could tell I was hurting. Meeting Alicia for the first time was one of the greatest moments of my life.
It was a party following a game at Aaron's house, and I saw her and she saw me. We approached each other and she asked if I wanted to dance and I obviously said yes. Nothing in the world other than Madden or 2k would make me say no. We danced, exchanged numbers, starting going on dates, and now we're spending a lot of time with each other every day, saying "I love you" to each other all the time. In that sense, I'm a lucky man.
I also have to talk to Aaron and/or Cam about the fact that I heard them fucking. That is a moment I will never forget. In this sense I am an unlucky person.
I really just had to be the one to hear them. It couldn't have been Kai or Jax or literally anyone else. It had to be me. My (hopefully) future brother in law and my (probably) best man went to town on each other.
A lot of shit is going through my mind as I drift to sleep, obviously dreaming of Alicia.
The next day...
Well, today is the day I have to tell Aaron and Cameron about the fact that I heard them fucking. I'm still super confused about how this all happened. San Diego really changed these two a lot. We already live in Los Angeles, a relatively gay city, but San Diego switched up Cameron a lot. I've never gotten a gay or even bisexual vibe off of him.
I roll out of bed and rub my eyes, but I'm not that tired. Alicia made me feel so much more alive, and that's why I love her. Until her, I didn't realize how attractive I actually am. She's the epitome of beauty and I am so blessed to have her. Before her I just thought I was like a 6/10, but she keeps telling me I'm a 10 so I feel so much better about myself when I'm with her.
I take a shower, get dressed in a pretty drippy outfit, and go downstairs. I'm met by Derek, Kai, and Jax playing Monopoly, which is not the best decision. They are all way too childish for their own good and while I usually don't give a shit, the three of them seriously need to get in order. They're definitely going to fight a lot over this game, this is the same game that almost got my parents divorced. It's serious shit bro.
I sit down on the couch next to the three of them. They are yelling at each other over Park Place, which makes sense. It's one of the most important properties in the entire game, but they shouldn't be fighting this much about it. I shake my head at them as I take my phone out and watch TikTok.
I'll talk to whoever comes out of their room first. I just need to let them know that I know exactly what they did. Maybe even put a little bit of blackmail into play. I am going to get compensated for the trauma I experienced yesterday.
"You fucking bitch you rolled a 6 idiot," says Derek, pointing accusatorially at Kai.
"Shut up I rolled a 5. Park Place is not gonna be hit this time around, huh?" he replies, laughing.
"You know damn well you rolled a 6, I saw you move it," states Derek.
"Cry about it baby," says Kai, mocking Derek by pretending to cry.
