Two Days Later.
Kara was over at Ians house, Justin, Beck, and Isla were also there. Kara asks, "Beck, why isn't Brianna here?" Beck shrugs, "I don't know, I asked her if she wanted to and she said she was "too busy" to hang out." Isla chimes in, "And Ruth isn't invited because of what she said last time." Ian sighs, "You're gonna have to forgive her at some point." Isla shakes her head, "Not if the killer kills her before I get the chance to." Karas eyes widen, "Jesus, Isla." Isla responds, "Sorry, sorry. It's just..she really pissed me off last time." Kara shakes her head, "I still just can't believe the person that attacked Charlie really used a fake name to rent that car." Ian responds, "I mean, you said they only found HIS fingerprints on the car so.." Justin snaps, "Ian, seriously. Lay off Charlie, it's getting annoying." Ian is taken aback, Justin stands up, "I'm gonna go get water." Ian mumbles, "He's overreacting." Beck responds, "Leave him alone, Ian. Like damn, it's actually exhausting." Kara scoffs and stands up. Ian asks, "Where are you going?" Kara replies, "I have to go to the bathroom, I'll be back." Ian makes a face, Kara leaves the room. Isla speaks up, "Way to go, Ian." Ian rolls his eyes, "Shut up." Kara leaves the bedroom, she walks towards the kitchen. She sees Justin grabbing a glass cup out of a cabinet, he sees her enter the kitchen. "Oh, hey." She smiles, "Hey." Justin fills up the cup at the refrigerator, Kara sighs. "Don't worry about Ian, he's being annoying." Justin scoffs, "You're telling me, he won't lay off Charlie. Like I get it, he just came into town but shit." Kara responds, "I know, it's been getting on my nerves lately." Justin shakes his head, "You deserve way better than him." Kara looks up at Justin, she smiles slightly. "Thanks, Justin." Justin continues, "I mean it, he's such a douche to everybody." Kara nods, "I know, he wasn't like that when we first started dating. I actually liked him then." Justin asks, "Do you still like him?" Kara thinks, "Uhm..sometimes!" Justin laughs, "But I'm sorry about storming out and stuff, it's just a lot is on me right now at home." Kara shakes her head, "Don't worry about it, I know you're doing a lot." Justin smiles slightly, "Thank you for understanding." She smiles, "Of course." Justin looks down at her, their eyes meet. Kara asks, "You really mean what you said, though? About me deserving better?" Justin nods, "I really do mean it." Kara looks down shyly, Justin keeps his eyes on her. Kara looks back up at Justin, they both look deeply at each other. Kara leans up slightly, Justin leans down a bit. They get a bit closer..but then they hear a knock on the wall beside them. They quickly take a step back from each other and look, it's Ian. Karas eyes widen, "Ian! Me and Justin were just talking, that's it." Ian gives them both a look, "Talking? It definitely didn't look like talking." Justin chimes in, "It was nothing, man. Really." Ian looks deeply at them, he doesn't believe a word they're saying at all. Kara insists, "I promise, Ian. We were just talking." Ian gulps, "Alright..just came to check on you, I thought you were in the bathroom." Kara responds, "Um, I was. But then I saw Justin in here on my way back, and we just talked for a little." Justin nods in agreement, "Yeah, that's it, Ian." Ian steps back, "Okay..I'll just uh, be in my room." Ian walks off, Kara looks back at Justin and sighs. "I'm gonna.." Justin nods, "Yeah." Kara gives Justin a small smile before leaving the kitchen, Justin drinks his water quickly then also goes back to Ians room.
Justin walks back into the room after Kara, Isla and Beck both give each other a look. Beck asks, "What were you guys doing?" Ian responds smugly, "Oh, they were just "talking". Right, guys?" Kara rolls her eyes, "Babe." Ian sits back, clearly annoyed now. Beck asks, "Hey Justin, you wanna talk real fast out in the hall? It's something real personal." Justin looks confused, "Uh, sure?" Isla chimes in, "Yeah, keep leaving me back. Thanks, guys." Beck and Justin walk out into the hallway outside the bedroom, once they get a good distance away Beck looks at Justin and whispers, "Man, what the hell was that all about?" Justin asks, "What?" Beck responds, "You and Kara "talking" is what." Justin rubs the back of his neck, "Uuhh..." Beck asks, "Do you have a crush on Kara, or something?" Justin shrugs, "I..I don't know." Beck smacks his shoulder, "Ow, what the fuck-?" Beck continues, "She's dating Ian, that's only gonna look suspicious on your part if you try to get with her now." Justin responds, "But..but Ian doesn't treat her well, like at all." Beck nods, "I know, we all know that. But you can't, dude." Justin rolls his eyes, "But I could treat her so much better, and I really think she feels the same way." Beck asks, "Seriously?" Justin nods, "There was definitely something there when we were in the kitchen, I think we were getting pretty close to kissing." Beck sighs, "I do think you and Kara would be cute, but if you're gonna try to make moves..keep it on the low, yeah? Not in Ian kitchen." Justin nods, "Yeah, you're probably right." Beck nods, "Of course I am, now go back in there and just act normal in front of Ian. The dude already does NOT like you." Justin chuckles, "I've gotten used to that." Both the guys walk into the room, Isla asks, "What were you two talking about?" Beck brushes it off, "It's personal stuff, I can't get into it." Isla nods, "Alright.."
Brianna and Ruth were out at a cafe, the two didn't really talk a lot. But once they saw the others were hanging out together, they decided to make plans. Ruth asks, "Did they even ask if you wanted to go?" Brianna nods, "Beck asked, I just didn't feel like it so I said I was busy." Ruth rolls her eyes, "So it was just me they left out." Brianna replies, "They're all acting super weird anyways, I wouldn't worry so much about it if I were you." Ruth responds, "Yeah, but you're also like filthy rich." Brianna nods, "Maybe I am, that's exactly why I don't worry much about like, anything." Ruth drinks from her cup, "Justin and Isla got real defensive when their names got brought up, what do you think about that?" Brianna shrugs, "Fuck if I know, I mean, I definitely wouldn't like it if someone accused me of being a murderer. Even though I would have valid reasons to become one." Ruth asks, "Um, like..?" Brianna thinks, "Well, I'm like ninety nine percent certain that Beck cheats on me all the time, but also it's not like I haven't done it before. So I don't know how mad I can be at him for that if he does." Ruths eyes widen, "Oh, okay..good to know." Brianna continues, "And Isla, I don't know. She's always been really protective over Kara, I think Ian and now Charlie being around definitely has just upped that honestly." Ruth replies, "I guess that does make sense, but leaving me out completely over like a suspicion? Doesn't that seem a little overboard?" Brianna sighs, "It kinda does, now look, Ruth. I personally have no problem with you, you've never done anything bad to me." Ruth smiles slightly, "Thanks." Brianna continues, "I also definitely know that group doesn't really like me, I'm only there because of Beck anyways." Ruth makes a knowing look, "Yeah, they definitely have said some things about you." Brianna shakes her head, "I really don't care, I'll live if people talk bad about me." Ruth sighs, "Wish I had a mindset like that." Brianna asks, "Why don't you? It's easy." Ruth asks, "I don't know, I just care what people say a lot." Brianna replies, "Well don't, it's just a waste of time. If the killer does get either of us, it won't matter what people say anyway." Ruth nods, "That is true." Brianna and Ruth talk for a bit longer, it definitely felt nice to have someone to go to about stuff like this.
