An Hour Later.
The three had all gotten checked out by a doctor, luckily for them nothing too major had happened. Charlie got his hand bandaged up, Mandy and Kara both got more bandages for Mandys stab wound, and Karas cuts. They all sat at the back of an ambulance, none of them were really talking that much. Charlie swallows, "I..don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to go home." Mandy nods, "..Me too." Kara wasn't talking much, she still seemed to be in a lot of shock from what she had seen. Charlie reaches over and pulls Kara closer to him, "Hey." Kara looks up at him, "..Hey." Charlie replies, "I'm so sorry about Justin..I know you really liked him." Kara shakes her head, fighting back tears from falling. "I...I don't even know what to think, Charlie.." Charlie responds, "It's normal to think like that, unfortunately, it's probably going to be like that for a little while." Kara wipes her eyes and nods, trying to understand. Mandy sighs, "I am NEVER stepping foot in this town ever again, I swear." Charlie nods, "Yeah, same exact thing here." Kara takes a breath, "I'm...just glad we all got out of there." Mandy and Charlie smile faintly, "We're gonna be okay, Kara. It's definitely gonna take time for us to move on, but we're going to be okay." Charlie says. Mandy nods in agreement, Kara also finally nods back. Kara sighs, "I mean, I got a hell of a farewell party, I guess." Mandy and Charlie both laugh softly. Charlie asks, "Are you guys ready to actually go home now?" Both girls nod, Charlie stands up and walks away from the girls for a moment. He walks up to a detective, the same one who had helped him before. "Detective Wheems?" He turns around, "Hey, Charlie." Charlie asks, "Are we like..allowed to leave now-?" The detective looks through his notes a little, "Uuhm, yes. Yes, you guys are free to go home now." Charlie nods, "Thank you." The detective smiles faintly, "You guys stay safe, seriously." Charlie nods, "We will, don't worry about us." Charlie walks back over to the girls, "Come on you two, we're allowed to go home." Charlie puts both his hands out to help them up, they both take his hand and stand up. They walk back over to Charlies car, he helps them both into the car, then gets back into the driver seat himself. The sun now was beginning to set at this point, making the sky a blue to orange color. Charlie begins to drive away, he sees Kara staring outside her window. A blank look on her face, he knows it's going to take time for her to get used to this. It's going to take lots of time for all of them to get used to it, but luckily for them, Charlie had left town with two people. Now, he's going back with three people, he just wishes that nobody had to lose their lives in the process for any of this to happen.
