Waking up in bed alone, yet again, only spurred a groan to flee from my lips. Dal, ever loyal and in tune with my emotions, rises from his own bed, striding over to lick my hand that hung over the edge of the bed.

"Where'd Sannie go, Dal?" I ask groggily, watching as the canine sits down, tilting his head at me. "He left again, huh?"

With a whine, Dal nudges my hand, his amber hues blinking at me with intrigue. I closed my eyes again, rolling onto my back, letting a heavy breath roll through my lungs. I loved San dearly, but sometimes I really wished that he would at least message me when he was leaving. He better have good reasoning, considering that he went to bed visibly upset the night before. I worried about him, more than I likely should, but after hearing about his past from Wonho briefly, a chord of concern would always be taut internally.

Losing San was not an option in my future, and if I could prevent his downward spiral, I would do so by any means necessary.

Dal lets loose another whine, placing a paw on the edge of the bed. I turn onto my side again, watching my faithful companion pace in a circle, his tail wagging, panting quietly, behaving in a way that made me believe he was anticipating something.

"Hungry?" I ask, watching as he tilts his head to the side. I smile, nodding. "Mhm. I knew it. Daddy didn't feed you, huh?"

With another whine that almost turns into a bark, I finally pull myself out of bed, watching as Dal makes for the door, impatiently staring at the handle of the door, expecting it to just whip open by looking at it.

"Patience," I coo. "You're just like your dad. Impatient to all hell, sometimes."

Grabbing my phone, I finally swing the door open, watching as Dal's quick steps lead him towards the staircase, his head turning to gaze back at me, his tail swaying gently. He waited for me by some miracle of patience that had surged through him randomly, then he sped down the stairs, turning to his right, pacing towards the front door with more audible whines.

"And you're whiney like your dad." I murmur, carefully moving down the last few steps. "He said he got you because we had similar traits, but I think you mirror his, too."

Opening the front door, I watch as Dal bolts outside, immediately heading towards the grass patch we had in the yard, moving to do his business.

"You're up early," Yeosang quips from the living space, sitting next to Changbin.

"Father duties." I smile, pointing out the door. "Why are you up early?"

"Changbin and I had work to catch up on from last night." Yeosang shrugs. "Stupid stuff we'd been avoiding."

"That you've both been avoiding?" I ask with a grin. "Or that Binnie has been avoiding?"

"No, it's both–"
