One was the grandson of Lord Charles Andrew Howard SR, Duke of Norfolk Territory and one was the great-grandson of Lord Charles Andrew Howard SR, Duke of Norfolk Territory through his two younger sons, Lord Richard Edward Howard The Second and Lord Edwin William Howard who were never given a title or Dukedom by their father, Lord Charles Andrew Howard SR, Duke of Norfolk Territory.

Both brothers had to pave their own way into Howard history as the younger sons of The Duke of Norfolk Territory.

Lord Richard Edward Howard Senior was the second male line great-grandson of Lord Patrick William Howard, 1st Duke of Norfolk Territory, as his oldest brother, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR, was the oldest male line great-grandson, and his first cousin, Lord George Frederick Carey was the oldest female line great-grandson of Lord Patrick William Howard.

Lord Edwin William Howard was the third oldest male line great-grandson of Lord Patrick William Howard to be followed by Lord Phillip Andrew Howard, who was the youngest male great-grandson of Lord Patrick William Howard and all three children were the youngest children of Lord Frederick William Howard, the only son of Lord Patrick William Howard.

Lord Richard Edward Howard arrives in 2212, in the second year of his father's Dukedom as Duke of Norfolk Territory and as a second son, Lord Charles Andrew Howard SR was only concerned about his heir, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR and Lord Edwin William Howard arrived in 2217, and as the youngest son of Lord Charles Andrew Howard SR, Duke of Norfolk Territory.

Lord Charles Andrew Howard SR first priority was to find a suitable bride for his heir, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR who was born in 2209.

By the time, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR was married in 2228, Lord Richard Edward Howard was 16 years old and Lord Edwin William Howard was 9 years old.

When their nephew, Lord Charles Andrew Howard The third was born in 2230, Lord Richard Edward Howard was 18 and Lord Edwin William Howard was only 11 years old.
