It was five hours after the wedding, and Loona and Max were currently in a cabin. Max had been saving up his earnings from IMP to buy a cabin so they could spend their honeymoon there and use it as a vacation home.
Max and Loona were making out on a couch in the cabin's living room when Max pulled away from their kiss.
"I... I wanna show you something."
Loona sat up, curious, as Max left the room to get something from the bedroom.
A moment later, Max returned, holding a guitar.
Loona's eyes sparkled. "You can play guitar?"
Max smiled sheepishly. "I could when I was alive. Moxxie helped me practice a bit so I wouldn't be too rusty."
Loona scoffed. "So the fatty is good for something."
Max just laughed at Loona and sat down beside her. "Anyways, I wanted to play something for you."
Loona smiled and leaned in, excited.
Max smiled and began to play.
"Wise men say
'Only fools rush in'
But I can't help
Falling in love with you"
Loona felt herself begin to cry out of happiness. She placed a hand over her heart. "Oh, Max."
"Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin
If I can't help
Falling in love with you"
Max smiled and looked up at Loona. His Loona. His mate. The love of his life. His reason for existing. And he continued singing.
"Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be"
Max poured every ounce of love and emotion into his singing. He wanted Loona to truly know how he felt about her. How much he loved and needed her.
"Take my hand
Take my whole life too
For I can't help
Falling in love with you"
Tears continued to stream down Loona's face. Today had been the best day of her entire life. First, the wedding, and now this. It seemed like every second of the day she found herself loving Max more and more.
"Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be"
Max prepared for the song's final verse.
"Take my hand
Take my whole life, too
For I can't help
Falling in love with you
For I can't help
Falling in love with you..."
As Max sang the final words and strummed the final chords of the song on the guitar, Max looked up at his Mate.
Loona's face was wet with tears, her eyes shining with love. Without warning, Loona leaped into Max's lap, knocking the guitar to the ground and kissing him madly.
Max kissed her back. "I love you, Loona. More than everything and everyone in the universe combined."
Loona smiled at her Mate, tears glistening on her cheeks. "I love you too, Max. I've loved you since the second your eyes held mine."
They kissed again, and everything was perfect. Max made a special dinner for both of them, after which they made love deep into the night.
After they made love they laid in each other's arms. And they knew that nothing would ever stop them from loving each other more than life itself.
