Silent Night

The presents had been unwrapped, the Christmas dinner eaten, the songs danced to.

Loona Thomas and her husband, Maxwell, bid farewell to Blitzo, Moxxie, and Millie as they left the Thomas's Christmas party, which was held at Loona and Max's house in the Wrath Ring.

Loona let out a sigh after closing the front door.

Max came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her cheek. "You okay, hun?"

Loona relaxed at her husband's embrace. "Yeah, it's just gonna take forever to clean all of this up." She motioned at the Christmas tree, where seemingly tons upon tons of ripped wrapping paper lay.

Max turned Loona around so she looked at him. "We can worry about that later. First, there's something I wanted to give to you."

"What do you mean?" Loona asked.

"Well... I have a present for you, but I wanted to wait until we were alone to open it. I didn't want everyone else to see." Max said.

"Oooh, it's not something you want them seeing?" Loona teased.

Max blushed. "I-It's not like that! J-Just... let me grab it!"

Loona smiled as Max retreated to their bedroom to grab the gift.

She truly did love Max. He had been the one to help her break out of her shell and stop pushing people away. Because of him, she and Blitzo were actually acting like a father and daughter now.

And she had her Max to thank for all of that.

Soon, Max returned with a tiny box in tow.

Loona looked at the box, curious. "You do remember that we're already married, right?"

"It's not a ring, it's better. Now close your eyes."

Loona obliged and held out her hands. Once she felt Max put the contents of the box into her palm she opened her eyes.

In her hands was a beautiful golden necklace. Attached to the necklace was a pendant that had an inscription that read "I love you always".

Loona began to cry. "Max... I don't know what to say."

Max smiled. "'Thank you' is a polite start."

Loona grabbed Max and hugged him. "Thank you so much... not just for this... but for everything... I love you, Max."

Max hugged Loona back and kissed the top of her head. "I love you too, Loona. Merry Christmas."

Loona wiped away her tears and smiled up at the love of her life. She kissed him on the lips, something that Max happily returned.

But as they pulled away, Loona's expression changed from loving and sweet to seductive.

"You know Max... I got you something special for Christmas too..." Loona whispered.

"W-What do you mean?" Max asked, blushing again.

Loona winked. "Gimme a sec to prepare in the bedroom, then come on in and prepare for one hell of a night..."

Loona kissed Max one more time before walking towards their bedroom, her hips swaying seductively.

Max blushed and followed her into the bedroom after Loona called for him.

"God, I love that woman."
