Telling Max

Max and Loona had been married for a year on that fateful day.

After the honeymoon, Loona moved in with Max, and since she wasn't living with Blitzo anymore, Blitzo noticed immediately when Max walked into the IMP office without his wife.

"Where's Loonie?" Blitzo demanded.

"She was feeling sick this morning, so she stayed home."

"And you didn't stay with her? What kind of a husband are you?" Blitzo said.

Max rolled his eyes. "I offered to stay with her, but she insisted that I go to work."

Blitzo grumbled. He hated being proven wrong.

"All right. Let's get the work day started!"

After work, Max went home to his apartment and opened the door. "My love? Are you feeling better?"

Visibly worried, Loona walked out of the bedroom and went to meet Max at the door.

Max felt his anxiety rising as he noticed Loona's worry. "Loona? Is everything alright?"

His Mate fidged. "Max... no matter what I tell you next... you wouldn't wanna leave me... right?"

Max hugged her to his chest. "I would never leave you, Loona. No matter what. I love you."

Loona calmed down and buried her face in his chest. Then she said something.

Max's ears perked up. "W-What was that?"

"I'm pregnant," Loona repeated.

Loona was scared to look back up at her husband. But when she did, she saw nothing in his face but absolute pure delight.

Max cheered and kissed Loona lovingly, catching her by surprise.

When Max pulled away, Loona asked him a question. "You're not... mad?"

"Mad?" Max said. "How could I be mad? We're gonna be a family! I'm gonna be a dad!"

Max suddenly then picked up Loona bridal style and began happily parading around the house with her in his arms.

Loona giggled at the excitement of her husband.

Max then carried Loona out to the apartment's balcony.

"I'M GONNA BE A DAD!" Max yelled out into the evening sky, not caring who in Hell heard him.

Still ecstatic, Max looked at his love."I love you so much, Loona. I am going to be the best dad ever to our child."

Loona looked up at her Mate. The love of her life. "I know you will. I love you, Max."
