☼☽⋆。°✧ ✧⋆°。☾☼"Jules are you going to tell me what's going on with you?" Eleanor twirled her quill around her fingers as the two girls were sprawled out on their beds, doing homework.
The seasons were changing before Juliet's eyes, the winter frost was long gone and spring was in full bloom. To most, this would bring happiness but it only bought Juliet anguish. She knew that by the middle of July, things would change.
Her disappearance's late at night were becoming more and more suspicious and there were only so many excuses she could tell Eleanor. The truth was, she'd been hauled up in the room of requirement with the boys, trying to figure out what her prophecy meant whilst they continued to fix the cabinet. Juliet hadn't got much further than what she already knew, Tiber meant her father and she held the power of the 'future and the past', in all honesty, it made no sense. Juliet couldn't feel any power within her but then the prophecy stated it was unknown to her and it was right. Her last resort was to go and visit her father, she believed he knew more than he had ever let on, but Theo wasn't too happy with the idea. So, on this Wednesday evening, Juliet Nott decided to tell her bestfriend about her prophecy, so that she could cover for her, whilst she snuck out to go and interrogate her father.
"Okay" Juliet let out a long breath as she tossed her textbook to the side and sat up straight "there's this prophecy...about me. I can't tell you how I know about it...but just trust me that it's real and in order to figure out what it means...I have to go and talk to my father but my bodyguards won't let me. Soooo...el will you please cover for me" Juliet looked at her friend with wide eyes and a soft smile but Eleanor looked taken a back, not surprising really.
"Hold up...there's a prophecy about you? That's so cool! And of course I'll cover for you! But we need to come up with a better lie because last time, Theo saw straight through me" Eleanor threw her quill down and leant forward on her elbows, devious plans were one of her favourite things.
"Okay....oh! I know what we can do! So...I'm going to make myself sick in front of them tomorrow, then you're going to take me back to 'our room' but I'm actually going to leave the castle?" Juliet smiled, proud of her plan.
"That's brilliant! And before I take you away, tell them that you need to sleep and that you'll find them later, that way they won't come looking" Eleanor bounced up and down on the mattress.
"Oh el, this is why we are friends" Juliet giggled as she pulled Eleanor into a hug.
"Okay! Let's sleep, we are going to need it" Eleanor laughed as she grabbed her wand "Knox". The light in the room disappeared and Juliet shimmied under her duvet, wrapping it tightly around herself.
"Goodnight Jules" Eleanor hummed quietly.
"Goodnight el" Juliet mumbled back and she could already feel sleep encasing her body.
"Who goes there?" A bright light filled the corridor from the end of someone's wand. It blinded Juliet, forcing her to squeeze her eyes shut, but as they adjusted to the light, she could make out a boy.
She'd never seen him before, his robes had a green collar and his tie was green and silver. He was a Slytherin. His brown hair was slicked to the side but she could see his curls trying to escape the strong hold of the gel. His face held a harsh look, one of fury maybe?.
"Who are you?!" A sneer covered his face and he narrowed his eyes in on Juliet.
"I'm Juliet. Who are you?" Juliet was confused. This boy didn't go to school here. She'd never seen him but he looked to be her age.
"Tom. Tom Riddle" the boy looked shocked, wondering how she didn't know him.
But Juliet did. She knew him, just not this version of him.
"W-what? H-how am I here?" Juliet looked around and she finally realised, this wasn't the school she knew.
"Why are you out of bed" the boy took a step closer but Juliet stumbled back. His movements came to a stop as he took in her fearful expression.
"This is a dream...I'm not really here" Juliet mumbled under her breath but the touch of another, made her whole body flinch.
"If it was a dream, then how would you feel my touch?"
Juliet's body jolted upwards, a thin layer of sweat covered her skin as her pyjamas stuck to her body. As her eyes darted around, she was happy to see Eleanor sound asleep in her bed.
Her dreams had been like this for a while, they felt, real. It was as if she was really there, she could physically feel things, objects, the touch of others. Sometimes she dreamt of herself in past, other times she dreamt of herself in the future and she was starting to think that maybe, they weren't dreams anymore.
With a young Tom riddle on her mind, Juliet stood up from her bed with a groan. Her alarm clock read '06:01' in bold red and she decided there was no point in going back to sleep, instead she made her way to the bathroom for a shower.
She scrubbed her hair at the roots and lathered her body in shower gel before letting the water rinse it away, with her worries. As she stepped out, she wrapped a towel tightly around her before using a drying spell on her hair.
Juliet's uniform was in a neat pile on top of the toilet seat and she pulled at the pile as she reached for her shirt. She buttoned it all the way to the top before stepping into her skirt and tucking her shirt in neatly. She did her tie up loosely and decided she would shove her robes into her bag, the weather had been warmer and Juliet didn't feel the need to wear them.
She let out a huff as she walked back into the room, her eyes met with Eleanor's who was already dressed and sat on the end of her bed.
"I was shocked to see I didn't need to drag you out of bed" Eleanor chuckled lightly.
"I know...I had a bad dream" Juliet shook her head as she walked across the room and shoved her robes into her bag before sliding her wand into the waistband of her skirt.
"I know Jules" Eleanor gave her a sad smile.
"Let's go...we need to set our plan in motion. I purposely didn't put any makeup on, to make it more believable that I'm ill" Juliet smiled devishly at her blonde friend.
"Perfect" Eleanor raised her eyebrows before walking across the room and grabbing Juliet's hand.
It was now or never and Juliet just hoped that they could fool Theo and Draco. She couldn't have either of them turning up at Nott manor and ruining her chances of talking with her father.
