It had been a week since Juliet arrived home, she was right in thinking being around her mother would ease her mind. There hadn't been one boring moment, it was obvious to anyone who knew her mother that she was a bundle of joy, the kind of woman who always wore a smile. Juliet knew she got that from her but she was certain her need to bend the rules and throw herself in the way of danger, had come from her father.
Her mother had slowly delved into everything that Juliet had wanted to know. She'd learnt that her father had seemingly turned up out of no where, that his charm was impossible to ignore and that her mother fell for him instantly. It sounded like the perfect love story but of course it was not. Juliet's mother didn't know exactly why Tiberius had even come to the muggle world, it was something he never disclosed and it irked Juliet, her passion to know the answer to everything was screaming at her.
However the one thing that Juliet really wanted to know about, hadn't been bought up yet. Since reading her mother's letter, she was desperate to know about the blocker spell that was used on her as an infant. Who did it? How had it lasted this long?.
She decided she could wait a bit longer when she saw an owl drop some letters into the post box at the back of her garden. Her legs had never moved so fast as she ran to collect them. She would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous to open them. Were Draco and Theo okay? Had there been any progress with the cabinet?.
Her small hands grasped the letters and held them tightly to her chest before she made a line straight to her bedroom. The door was pushed shut behind her before she dropped onto her bed. The first envelope she opened was Theo's, she felt that might be better because if there was anything going on, he would warn her about it first.
To Jules,
Everything is okay. I can't say that Draco hasn't been a moody fucker since you left, because he has but he hasn't gotten into any trouble, so I think that's a good thing.
You'll be happy to hear I also haven't gotten into any trouble. Hard to believe isn't it? But I'm taking a leaf out of the Juliet Walters handbook.
I'd be more than happy to stay at yours for Christmas. It will be incredible compared to Christmas in Nott manor but I think it's rude of you to assume I have a terrible sense of direction, I guess if you insist on meeting me at the station then you can but I don't NEED you to.
I have no idea what top and tailing is? But it sounds fun.
Any idea on what I should bring your mother for Christmas? If she's anything like you then I'm guessing sweets and chocolate?
All my love
Theo
Juliet let out multiple chuckles whilst reading Theo's letter, his cluelessness was rather hilarious.
She placed his letter down on her bed before picking up the matte black envelope with the gold 'M' embossed into the back. Draco's need to show off his money would never cease to amuse Juliet.
My dearest Jules,
Hogwarts is not quite as interesting without you. I don't know how I went so many years here without you around.
Your brother has become increasingly more annoying, he's like a puppy that needs constant care. I don't know how I've dealt with him all this time either. Although he's gotten worse since you came into our lives. Don't be surprised if you get a letter saying he's been murdered. It will most definitely be by me.
Your request for me to join you over the holidays is much appreciated but I cannot make any promises. If I'm able to get away then I will but it's unlikely my love.
Please do not worry if my letters become sparse, just remember what I told you.
I love you
Draco
P.s- I think I'd rather be in your small quaint house than my manor with the dark lord.
Juliet dropped Draco's letter into her lap, a sadness washed through her and she suddenly wished she'd of stayed at Hogwarts. She could never understand how Draco felt, to have his home infiltrated by a man so cruel and evil and she felt a deep rooted fear for the blonde boy she'd come to love. For once Juliet put her faith into Harry Potter and the rest of the golden trio. She hoped that they were fighting in secret and finding a way to destroy the barricade's that the dark lord had put in place.
