"Juliet, are you okay?" Draco shoved his wand into his pocket and took quick steps towards the girl who was hunched over on the floor, her hand's on her neck. He crouched down and placed a gentle hand on her back, but she flinched at the contact and for once, Draco felt like punching himself in the face for not thinking about his actions.

Juliet shook her head rapidly, she daren't open her mouth. She knew her voice wouldn't work, even if she wanted it to. Draco was quick to pull her to her feet, his hands were placed under her armpits and she felt like a child being picked up by her mother. As soon as Juliet's feet were firmly on the ground she shrugged away Draco's touch, he was the last person who she wanted to see her right now.

"Juliet you need help, you need to go-..."

"No! Do...not...tell...me....what....is....best....for....me" Juliet's voice didn't sound like it even belonged to her. It was hoarse and quiet, as if she hadn't spoken a day in her life.

"I saved you. I'm just trying to-..." Draco was taken a back. He knew she had an obvious disliking for him but it was nothing more than house prejudice, right?.

"I hate you, Draco Malfoy. I've always hated you. You....you belittled me and tormented me. You made me feel scared to come to Hogwarts. I will never forgive you for that. No matter how much you talk to me or how many times you save me!" Juliet regretted trying to shout as soon as she did it. Her vocal cords were scratching against each other and her throat burnt. She kept her hands over her neck, somehow, the slight pressure helped with the pain.

Draco's face was covered in confusion, he didn't recall the moment Juliet was talking about. Until the night outside of the great hall, he didn't even really know her name. He'd heard it, but he never made an effort to remember it.

"What are you talking about Juliet?" Draco took a cautious step forward.

"Oh...how wonderful...you don't even know" Juliet shook her head. A sadness brewing behind her eyes as she remembered the harsh words he threw at her. Mudblood. Tainted. Filthy.

"Juliet" Draco couldn't let her go now. He felt like he was starting to break through her walls. He needed to know how she shielded her mind, or, that's what he kept telling himself.

"Leave me alone" the brunette girl turned around and took off in a sprint. Running as fast as she could away from him. She wanted to be back in her dorm, where she was safe. She wanted Eleanor. She wanted her mother. She wanted her home.

She climbed the never ending staircase to Ravenclaw tower, keeping her neck shielded by her hands. The last thing she needed was anyone questioning her.

Eleanor white was in the common room, enjoying a good book, as she liked to do most evenings. The fire was cracking and there was silence, until an out of breath Juliet Walters came running in, tear stains covering her cheeks.

"Jules? What's going on?" Eleanor threw her book somewhere behind her. She would find it later.

"Theo-Theodore" that's all Juliet could get out, before she collapsed into Eleanor's arms. Sobbing into her bestfriend's chest. Her tears were partly for what Theodore had done to her but mostly, they were because of Draco.

The rest of the night was one of peace and tranquility. The two girls stayed put in their dorm, alone. Juliet couldn't face Draco or Theodore in the great hall and Eleanor being the good friend she was, took it upon herself to sneak some food from the kitchens for them both. Not that Juliet could eat anything really, she could barely swallow her own saliva. Her throat had swelled and her skin was painted with shades of purple, blue and yellow. Theodore's rings had left indents in her neck that would most definitely leave scars behind in their wake.

As Juliet tucked herself into her covers that night, her mind raced with thoughts of the curly haired boy. What did he mean by 'when the day comes'. What day?. Juliet had a feeling something was going on, more than just 'he who must not be named' returning and she would figure it out. She couldn't stand to not know something, it was the curse of being a Ravenclaw. She always strived to know more, to know everything. She knew in her heart that whatever it was, involved Draco as well and she wanted nothing more than to see him fall but, there was a part of her, deep inside that wished to uncover the boy under all of the prejudice, the boy that he would of been, had he not been raised by Lucius Malfoy.
