SONG:- O RANGREZ - SHREYA GHOSHAL
Two months had passed since Advay and Idika's impending marriage was arranged. Their frequent meetings and conversations had gradually eased any initial awkwardness between them. Today was a crucial day as both families were set to convene and finalize the auspicious wedding date.
Feeling the weight of anticipation, Advay carefully selected a white kurta, hoping it would convey both respect and a touch of his personality. As he adjusted his outfit, a nervous sigh escaped his lips, silently wishing for everything to proceed smoothly.
Meanwhile, Idika found herself caught in a whirlwind of her mother's insistence on her attire for the occasion. "Mumma, this color is simply not right. It will look dreadful. If you wanted me in a lehenga, why not a pink one?" Idika's frustration was evident as she voiced her discontent.
With an unwavering determination, her mother granted Idika a mere five hours to procure a lehenga of her choosing. "But Mumma, how can I possibly find one in such a short time?" Idika's shock was palpable, unsure of how to proceed.
Without delay, her mother summoned Karthik, Idika's brother, to assist her on this urgent mission. "Karthik, come here," her mother's voice rang out, calling him to her aid. "Go with Idika and ensure she finds a lehenga she adores. I expect both of you back here in three hours," her mother commanded before swiftly exiting the room.
Left standing there in a mix of shock and resignation Idika realized she had no choice but to embark on this unexpected quest. A pink lehenga, it seemed, was now the dress code of the day.
THE ROKA CEREMONY
The auspicious time of the roka ceremony had arrived, and the hall booked by Advay's family was adorned with flowers and decorations, creating an atmosphere of joy and anticipation. Both families gathered there.
Advay, dressed in his meticulously chosen white kurta, sat nervously beside his family, his heart pounding with a mix of excitement and nervousness. He stole glances at Idika, who looked resplendent in the pink lehenga she had acquired. A sense of admiration washed over him as he took in her beauty, feeling a surge of happiness knowing she would soon be his wife.
Idika, surrounded by her family, felt a flutter of excitement in her stomach. The pink lehenga draped elegantly around her. Her mother stood beside her, a proud smile on her face, as they awaited the formal beginning of the ceremony.
"Mom, I'm feeling really nervous. My heart is beating so fast. I hope everything goes smoothly," Idika confided in her mother, her voice filled with apprehension.
Her mother gently caressed her shoulders, offering words of comfort. "Everything will be alright, beta. Think positively and envision your beautiful future with him," she said with a gentle smile.
Their tender moment was interrupted by Mahira, who approached with the money envelope for Kritika, Idika's mother. Just then, Advay's family stood up, warmly welcoming them into the hall.
