Your Author is Back with Answers to Your Questions!

» Are you a student, or have you finished studying?

I'm 16 and currently a commerce student in Grade 11. Probably the youngest here! 😉 What about you all?

» What are your favorite tropes?

I've got a long list! My absolute favorite is enemies to lovers. Others I love include arranged marriage, marriage of convenience (especially childhood enemies!), brother's best friend, fake dating with forced proximity, and accidental marriage. Yes, you read that right! If you want a great book on that, check out Hasratein by mangoesonmytree. What about your favorite tropes?

» Who is your favorite character in the book?

Advay, hands down! I love Idika too, but Advay has a special place in my heart. What about you?

» Who is your favorite side character?

Definitely Maple! Who wouldn't love a fur baby like him? What about your favorite side character?

» Any inspirational quotes for your book?

Inspirational? Not really, but here are quotes from their POVs:

Idika's POV: "When I first looked at him, I thought he was pretty cute. Now when I look at him, I see my whole world." (Found this on Google, and it felt perfect!)

Advay's POV: "She asked me to spell 'world,' so I spelled her name." (Inspired by a quote I found and tweaked a bit.)

» Who is your favorite author on Wattpad?

Aahaana02, mangoesonmytree, caralogue, galaxy-lane. I've tagged Bhoomi Di so many times that I've lost count! 😭 Who are your favorites?

» What is your favorite book?

On Wattpad, it's Found Hearts by author_ish_08 . As for paperbacks, I haven't read many, but The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood is my top pick-I even reread it recently. What about you?

» What do you do in your free time?

I scroll Instagram, chat with friends, play Dress to Impress, read Wattpad, annoy my sibling, and of course, write new chapters for my book. What about you?

» What's your favorite movie?

My all-time favorite is Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara! I've rewatched it 50-60 times and know the dialogues by heart. Other favorites are Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Jab We Met.

» Are there any major twists and turns in this book, or is it light-hearted?

This book is light-hearted; I'm not a fan of angst. But if I write future books, there might be twists!

» Will there be any serious fights between the couple?

Maybe... or maybe not 😉

» Where did you get inspiration for their names?

I searched for unique Indian names online and found Idika and Advay. I wanted their names to stand out.

» What inspired you to write a book?

A few reasons:

1. My wild imagination-I wanted to pin down my thoughts.

2. I wanted to do something productive outside of studying. Writing felt like a meaningful way to use my time.

3. A few authors inspired me, like mangoesonmytree and caralogue. I initially planned to write in 2021 but waited until I was more mature to understand relationships better. (It was the best decision)

» What is your biggest fear about this book?

My biggest fear is not meeting my readers' expectations. You all mean so much to me, and every notification about Gehrai brightens my day. I know my updates are slow (once a month), and I truly appreciate your patience and love for every chapter. The only thing that makes me a little sad is the drop in comments-your comments are my motivation, and I read every single one of them!

» How do you overcome a writing slump?

I usually lie down with my laptop and take a quick nap. During that time, I imagine fake scenarios that give me new ideas. Then I start writing and let the flow guide me.

That's it for this Q&A!

I hope you enjoyed the answers. Feel free to ask more questions in the comments, and I'll be happy to answer!

Take care, stay hydrated, and lots of love!❤️
