~Chapter 5~
The day slowly went to dark. All the cities on Cybertron were alive with lights, music, talking, everything. Even the MacCadam's bar was thriving. Inside his bar, in the right corner was none other than the two gladiator's that fought this afternoon. Trigona and Bulldozer.
They talked about themselves as they drank. They got congratulated by many who were in the bar. Most congratulated Trigona for beating Bulldozer. She thanked them for that and continued back to hers and Bulldozer's conversation.
Trigona asked many questions about Bulldozer and his life because when she was younger, she's never seen him, only heard about him. He talked about his very first fight, which was with Megatronous. She was excited to hear about it. As he was talking, he spoke about his life before being a gladiator. He was once a construction worker and along side his sire. He was happy with that life but when his sire passed, he couldn't hold onto the construction path. He wanted to do something that made him vent his emotions. Bulldozer found Gladiator try outs and this is where he is now.
It was fascinating to hear this all for Trigona. She listened to every word and asked questions every now and then. Bulldozer then asked her about her life before becoming a gladiator.
"It was life. I guess. It was different than yours. I couldn't find a job, my brother and sire helped me financially when I needed it. My carrier was sweet enough to care for me until she died after a sickness took her. My sire has been struggling just a little because he's been getting older and my brother, well, he's currently in college (I'm not sure what to call it besides that, lol)."
Bulldozer smiled.
"So, does your father not work anymore?"
Trigona shook her head.
"No. He doesn't, he doesn't have the strength he used to when he was a gladiator." Bulldozer then sat up straight and looked at her with a shocked expression.
"Your father was a gladiator?!" Trigona flinched in his slight outburst and nodded her head.
"Yes. He was. Why?" "What is his designation?" Trigona gave him a questionable look.
"His name is Sunblast. Why?" She then saw the look of shock on his face turn into excitement.
"No Way!! Your sire trained me when I first started!" Trigona was now the one to be shocked.
"Your kidding!" Bulldozer shook his head.
"No! He trained me when I first started. Man, who would have thought that I would meet his daughter. I don't know how I didn't recognize the resemblance between you two."
Trigona chuckled.
"Well, I look like both my parents. My bother looks more like my carrier though." Bulldozer nodded. He then took a drink and then set it down.
"So who's the oldest child?" Trigona slightly froze and then looked down at the table and took a drink. Bulldozer saw the discomfort in her body language.
"What's wrong?" Trigona looked around and then leaned forward to whisper to Bulldozer.
"Please don't tell anyone this. Promise me you won't." Bulldozer nodded.
"I promise." Trigona nodded and then took a deep breath.
"When I got an interview for the Gladiator try outs. There was a will my father left for the Gladiatorial ring, that if his oldest sparkling were to become a gladiator, they would take his place. But... I'm not the oldest sparkling."
Bulldozer looked at Trigona with confusion.
"What do you mean?" "I lied to them. I'm the second sparkling. My brother and I are about a year apart. I wanted to become a gladiator so bad that I had to lie about it."
Bulldozer was now shocked beyond belief.
"Your kidding." Trigona shook her head and looked down in defeat.
"Please. No one can know, especially Megatronous. He'll kick me out of the Gladiatorial ring."
"I already know."
Trigona and Bulldozer froze as they heard a deep voice coming from behind Trigona. She slowly turned around and saw Megatronous sitting in the booth behind her. She looked shocked, scared, and most of all, guilty. She looked down in shame.
"Why didn't you tell me in the beginning?" Trigona kept her head down as her mentor asked her why.
"I... I was afraid I wouldn't get picked. There were so many other candidates for it, and I'm pretty sure one of them would have gotten picked. I... I just... I've been dreaming of being a gladiator ever since my sire first told me about them. About you. I just wanted him to know that I can be like him."
Megatronous sighed. He stood up from his seat and stood in front of her. He then knelt down and put his fingers under her chin to make her look up at him. She had a few energon tears falling down her cheeks.
"I don't know why your crying. I'm not going to kick you out. You have become to important to me. I've cared for you as if you were the daughter I've never had. And I will keep doing that until the end of time."
Trigona smiled and hugged Megatronous tightly. He was shocked but then hugged her back.
"Thank you." Megatronous smiled when he heard her.
"Your welcome."
