Lionpaw and Hollypaw stared at Jaypaw, shock in their eyes. Hollypaw looked from Jaypaw to Blossom. She's right there!! Her face said. Blossom couldn't help but give a small laugh.
"I already know. Some of it, I mean," Blossom explained, earning even more shocked looks from the siblings. Jaypaw rolled his eyes, and ended up explaining the dream they shared. Lionpaw looked aghast.
"I- I didn't think you could actually.." He trailed off, earning a snort from Jaypaw. Hollypaw's ear twitched.
"So you already told her you can read emotions?" She asked, her emerald gaze bright in the night sky. Blossom swiveled her gaze towards Jaypaw, who seemed to be a bit ashamed.
"You can what?" How many powers did these clan cats have? Is that how he knew about the herbs? What else had he felt? She started to feel dizzy, and Jaypaw nipped her pelt.
"Hey!" She squeaked, the pain going away as soon as it came. She saw that her wound had almost instantly healed, the only sign of it being there was a missing spot of fur. Lionpaw and Hollypaw gazed at it in shock.
"What was that for?" She asked, already knowing it was to prove that she could heal instantly. But still, he didn't have to do that, her mind grumbled. Jaypaw's ears twitched in amusement.
"Two things. To prove your powers, and to stop you from doing that thing," He said, his blind blue gaze on where her scratch had been. She paused.
"What thing?" She asked, confusedly. Had she done something wrong? What did she say? Anxiety pulled at her head, the dizziness trying to creep in again. Jaypaw flicked his tail.
"That thing. You always zone out. You're overthinking, and I don't need to read you emotions to see that," Jaypaw gave a small chuckle, and her pelt turned warm. Had she been that obvious? Okay, I just need to keep calm. No bad thoughts whatsoever. He can see your emotions so he'll- She yelped in pain.
"You're doing it again," He smirked, and Lionpaw couldn't help but burst into laughter. Even Hollypaw as smiling.
"Sorry!" She squeaked, her pelt turning warm, until she joined in the laughter. Here, in a place full of strangers, she felt at home. Happier than she did with her own family. Her thoughts drifted to her family. The union, Frost had called it. That's when she realized she had come to a decision. She tensed, and the others stopped their laughter and looked at her.
"I have something to do. I'll be right back," She promised, and dashed off. Okay, I seriously have to stop dashing off. It's like what, the third time today? She couldn't help but grin at her own sarcasm.
She entered the leaders den, her head swooping left and right for Firestar. Where is he? A low thudding entered her ears.
"I take it you're looking for me?" A voice asked, and she turned to see the fiery ginger tom staring back at her. She nodded, the thudding in her ears getting louder and louder.
"I- I- I want-" It was a bit hard for her to get the words out. Firestar looked at her patiently, his gaze soft.
"I want to join your clan," She blurted. She had been surprised she even had the guts to say it. What if this backfires? What if Frost finds me? They won't. Arghh I have to stop and do what Jaypaw said, She focused her attention at First, who didn't look the slightest surprised. He nodded.
"I thought you would say that. Welcome to the clan, Bloss- Blossompaw. You're mentor will be with you tomorrow morning," He smiled.
