Percy POV:

No. No, this isn't happening. If I close my eyes, this will all go away. All I could do was watch. No, scratch that. I suddenly found my legs running towards the smouldering building. I looked around among the survivors and couldn't see my mom. "No! No!!!!" I shrieked. I sprinted. I ran up the stairs of the building, despite the shouts of the firemen, my dad, and probably the Gods up in the throne room of Olympus. I walked through the door to our apartment. Even with my water powers, all I could save was the pictures, of me and my friends, me and my parents, and a few pictures of Estelle. I felt myself getting blinded a little (weird, I know), so I quickly closed my eyes and found myself flashed on Olympus. I walked upto Athena and handed her a ring. "Annabeth, she gave this to me after T-T, that p-place. 'Always' I promised. You should have this now." I folded the ring in her palm. I held back a sob, and I could tell she was doing the same. "No, she loved you very much, and I can tell you did too. You can keep it." She said, putting the ring back on my finger. It was Imperial Gold, with sea green and gray diamonds. I then walked back into the centre of the room and bowed. "Persephone Jackson. Rise. You need not bow to us anymore. We have discovered a grandfather," I tensed, "mortal, of course. You will be living with him. Say your goodbyes, and then close your eyes." I nodded and told everyone goodbye and closed my eyes tight. And FLASH! I was at a police station. A police officer walked in with a blonde guy. What the Hades. My mouth must have been hanging open. He looked almost exactly like Jason. The same blue eyes, the same blonde hair, the same soldier build. "Hi, I'm Steve Rogers, I'm apparently your maternal grandfather."  Closing my mouth, I stuttered, "Um, yeah. I'm Persephone Andromeda Jackson. My mother told me my father was Greek, so that explains the name." "So do you know who I am?" He asked. I shook my head. "Ever heard of the Avengers?" I shook my head again. "Captain America?" "Oh, you're the guy Neeks talks about." "Neeks?" He questioned. "My cousin, I met him at my camp. Also, I'm really tired, can we go home Grandpa?" "Of course Persephone, and call me Steve." "Only if you call me Percy," I said, giving him my troublemaker grin. He just smiled back and called a cab.

We got out of the cab and saw a huge ass tower. "Woah," I said. Steve smiled at me again, and gestured for me to follow him. I walked through the lobby where Steve whispered to some receptionist. We then walked a little more, and we came to an elevator. "Do you have any stairs?" I asked, shaking a bit. "Yeah, are you okay?" He asked, looking concerned. He must've noticed me trembling. "Yep, just asking." We went inside the lift and I clutched the rail until my knuckles were white. Steve must've seen, but he probably didn't want to mention it. Thankfully, we exited right there. We got out and entered some living room, where a bunch of people were sitting on some couches. "Hey guys." Steve said. The people turned towards me and paused, as if waiting for a reaction. "Hi, I'm Persephone Andromeda Jackson. I'm apparently Steve's granddaughter. If you could introduce yourselves, it would be nice." "Hold up, you don't know who we are? We saved the world!" Some dude asked. He looked like an archer; I recognised the callouses on his hands. "Nope," I said, popping the p, though I wanted to say Me too! After a little confusion, an awkward pause, and a lot of fidgeting, they introduced themselves. Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Wanda and Hawkeye. Suddenly, as if something clicked inside Thor's head, he gasped. The Avengers looked confused, again, and Thor squealed, "Oh my good Odin. Are you, her?" I tensed a bit, and said, "Yes Thor, it's me. I missed you too. And they don't know about me, so don't go and tell them. Remember what you swore." Thor squealed again, and asked, "How are your friends, the great Seven?" Tears welled up in my eyes, and I replied, "I'm here alone, aren't I?" And tossed him Frank's stick. His eyes darkened, and he engulfed me in a hug. Once he released me, Tony asked me, "How do you know Thor? And who are these, Seven?" "We met at an.. um.. aquarium! Yep! I've pretty much got a free ride to college, 'cause of marine biology. And please, don't ask me about them. It's too painful." I replied. The girl named Wanda looked like she was gonna do something magical-ish before I fell on my knees. Last thing I heard was Thor yelling, "Wanda, NO!" And yay, a flashback started.

———- FLASHBACK———-

I was reliving the giant war, except this time, I was helpless. I just watched as my friends died, one by one. Gaia appeared, and we were lifted up, but it was different. I saw grief in the eyes of all the gods, including Dad. There it was. The moment I was dreading this whole time. Annabeth's death.

———- FLASHBACK END ———-

I managed to shake myself awake. Thor looked worried, and Wanda looked traumatised. "Di-Did you really go through all that?" She asked. "That and much, much more. Please, Wanda, don't tell anyone what you saw. Please." I begged her. She just nodded solemnly. "Guys, let's just forget this happened. Now, I'm cooking dinner. Any requests?" I asked. No one answered, so I went to the kitchen. I took out everything we needed for the meal, and started cooking. I opened the fridge, and - ugh! I feel sick. Sea food. I ran out the kitchen and into the bathroom, Natasha following me. I heard Thor telling the others to not go after me. I was sick for three hours after that, throwing up stuff I ate in the time span of the last week, and occasionally blood, Natasha crouching next to me, rubbing my back. After 3 full hours, I staggered out of the toilet, Natasha trailing behind me. The Avengers all looked concerned, but Thor looked at me knowingly. I wiped a little bit of blood from my mouth, and stuttered, "G-g-guy-s, let's-s-s jus-t-t promise; n-no mo-r-re seafood." They all agreed. I asked Thor to remove the seafood from the kitchen, and then I resumed cooking dinner. I made us some yummy blue pasta, with meatballs. Andrew's favourite. (I know it isn't, but just go with it please) I called everyone into the kitchen and we ate. "Why is it blue?" Natasha asked. Steve just ate it without a second thought, and everyone else paused in the middle of their bites to hear my answer. "You don't need to answer this Milady," Thor spoke gently. "My first stepfather, he was abusive, and he once told my mom there was no such thing as blue food. Ever since then, she went out of her way to make us blue food. And don't call me Milady, Thor. You know I hate it." I told them, slightly tearing up at the thought of my mom, with her beautiful brown hair, and loving eyes. I quickly wiped my tears away; a leader can't cry, not in front of her enemies, nor her troops. We ate in silence after that, the Avengers giving me occasional looks of sympathy.

A/N: 1294 words! I think I did good! Now, I can only post on Fridays or Saturdays, India time, and the rest of the story will be in Percy's POV, unless I specify otherwise. I hope you like the story so far!
