Hi I've just got a head cannon here.
So after the Giant War, Percy gets permission from majority of the counsel of the Olympians + Hades and builds Sally a cabin at camp half blood. The next day, all the campers who have met Sally just started camping out at her cabin. At camp, a new tradition is the unclaimed stay there until they're claimed.
